Actually there were two sonic booms, the second immediately after the first. That's because of the long length of the shuttle. You don't have to remember this, it will not be on the test. dzero, it was boooooomier than you said. Even though I was expecting it I almost fell off the sofa. Atlantis Lands in California You lose track of the size until you actually see it-- or it lands in your back yard! Thanks-- we will! --and it was just sad to go there for such a long time, like a ghost town, even a year later, so as much as we want tourists back to infuse some money back into the city, it just wouldn't have been the same town you'd have expected. It still has such a long way to go. But it really had a sparkle and some life back when I was there about 6 wks ago, and we're looking forward to getting back for the evening. We're lucky to be so close and need to get there more often! (just usually think we're too busy, but we're trying to get a different mindset on that! )

He he he, so many questions Yes I had a good time Wish it had have been a longer trip Everyone was incredibly nice and friendly...except for the incredibly snooty waitress at the hotel in West Hollywood that we were staying in. Apparently it's a no-no to move the chairs around in bars that are owned by ex-super models! I'm 99% sure that I saw the dude from Four Weddings and a Funeral being dropped off at our hotel , but that's it. Money, money, money, money, money? What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas I did have one smallish win that caused a bit of a crowd to gather around my machine. It was kind of embarrassing because I kept having to explain to well wishers that unfortunately it was only a minor jackpot on not the big one that was flashing on the top of the machine. Sadly I didn't play the tables. I used to love playing Blackjack until someone berated me years ago for playing 'foolishly and messing up the table'. Despite the fact that my 'foolish' playing style was winning me lots of money, I've been too frightened to play ever since for fear of being berated again.

Didn't you learn any ass kicking moves from Max? That would have shut him up . Glad you had fun.

Figured this was better here I said this in my videos thread: Well, my niece and her team fought very hard but they lost last night and are now out of the tournament My parents and I made the 2 hour trip up there and back on Saturday and Sunday to watch her and it was well worth it of course. They played hard and gave it ALL they had...They got beat Friday night 8-5 in extended play in 8 innings of extended play but they kind of beat themselves as their coach said during practice on Saturday that they walked 16 batters. They played hard though and Saturday night they beat the team they were playing 11-1 in a slaughter rule ending game...It was 6-1 in the 4th inning but then the other team changed pitchers and the 2 girls weren't regular pitchers and had trouble getting the ball to the plate so they walked in the other 5 runs. Then last night was a stressful and tense one but they lost 3-2 in the 8th inning of extended play. They gave it all and had some great hits. The other team didn't play too fairly though, as the 1st base girl got the ball thrown to her by the shortstop and all she had to do was tag first base or lightly tag the runner and she slammed her glove into my niece's teammate's chest and knocked the wind out of her. Was ridiculous and the umpires did nothing They also would chant their chants right before our pitcher would release the ball, which was very unsportsmanlike as most of the time the teams chant but they stop before the pitcher throws the ball. The umpire was off on a lot of pitches, calling them balls in the strike zone. They had a final shot with runners on 2nd and 3rd base and 2 outs on them but the pitcher that was up to bat struck out. She swung very good at the last 2 pitches but missed them...but it is what it is and unfortunately they lost. They were all sad and heartbroken but we are still very proud of them to get as far as they did and I gave my niece a hug and told her how proud I was of her and said that she will get them in the fall and they will come back next year and get them here in the state. She has been simply amazing all spring and summer. So, that's how my weekend went LOL

Passed the Karate exams for the first Kyu (final brown belt before the black one) this evening. * (Not a single Karate smiley out there :Among other things it included this kata, jion: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lrr-c5RCKpoDoesn’t look as impressive as others (and even less so when I’m doing it ), but good example of gaining speed and force by changing between relaxation and tensing.
