Okay, so what was the deal with Tony in this ep? (and the "soul mates" hang-up with Ziva? How many eps until she just confronts things? ) Are we backsliding on our episode wonderfulness, lately?

Are we backsliding on our episode wonderfulness, lately? It would seem so. But on a bright note, even the questionable eps this season are better than the best of last season!

I liked the ep. Lots of good Tony quips ;D. "The probie is getting probed" ;D What did you two not like about it? I didn't like the resolve to the probie's girl problems . It was more fun thinking he was really getting taken advantage of . Also thought it was silly of Ziva to claim Tony was xenophobic but even sillier of Tony to say he wasn't because of his great grand parents with immigrants . Everyone in this country who is xenophobic had immigrant ancestors. Doesn't mean their descendants can't be idiots .

I liked the ep. Lots of good Tony quips ;D. "The probie is getting probed" What did you two not like about it? Yeah, especially in the beginning, there were some great lines and moments, but I didn't like the whole "Tony turning Ugly American" on Ziva-- the cracks he was making, the *number* of times he said something, the tone -- it all really made me want to headsmack him -- decisively. I half expected him to ask for some days off to go build that #$^!)@*!# fence in Texas... ...and what was with that look he gave her as he walked by, that last moment? It was awfully cold/"I told you so"/dismissive...
Tony!! What is wrong with you?? It's too early for your mid-life crisis!! (I admit it-- I want my Tony more like his more thoughtful, politically correct cousin Logan )I guess I'm a softie, but I hated to see it go on TOO long. Besides-- it was kinda funny that straight laced McGee found the "kinkiness" (what he'd think was kinky) kinda hot! ;D odd, for sure-- but why all of a sudden was he p*ssed off that she hasn't "assimilated?" The tone wasn't just teasing in a brotherly or even flirty way, it was as if he was irritated and finally had had it. (and I will be really irritated if this is just his fighting his feelings... because ...that's really lame.) .yeah, what in the world *was* that, anyway? Are we sure they didn't run out of scripts and just keep filming? ...sounds like you already had a good sense of what I didn't like about it!

OK, yeah Tony was a little odd with Ziva. That assymilate......hold on I have to look how to spell that .......... why did I think there was a "y" Anyways, that assimilate line was certainly odd . And you're right came off as 'pointed' and not joking. I was thinking more about his attitude with the cabbies which seemed all right to me but Ziva seemed to have a big problem with it.

I thought that dialogue in this episode was probably the weakest point of this episode and while Season 5 is better so far than Season 4 was where the only episode of Season 4 that I liked and would watch ever again was "Cover Story."
