Have you seen "About Face?" Tell us what you thought. There are spoilers on our sister site NCIS Special Ops, if you're interested.

What's with the sissy girlyman yelling as he rams the truck?

On the plus side I like the case and thought Palmer did a pretty good job. I particularly liked the opening scene. I kind of liked the end too...predictable, but funny. Jeepers I jumped out of my seat when Gibbs knocked on Palmer's car window!
On the down side not enough Tony and Gibbs was kind of meh. I think MH dialed that one in. (I'd be in negative karma if I said that out loud at Special Ops!)
Tony has been receiving a lot of flak over at SO for being too snarky and non-supportive towards Palmer. In truth, apart from Abby and Ducky, I don't think anyone was particularly supportive of Palmer. I can't figure out why Gibbs let the toothpick guy interview interrogate Palmer? I would have thought he would have been more protective?
Unfortunately Tony took a back seat in this ep and the Tony that we did get was a little off character. Sure there were plenty of quippy one liners, but something was slightly askew in all of the dialogue. Just wondering if this ep was rushed because of the strike? I don't know - somehow it didn't seem quite polished.
I gave it an 8.
Mr TV, I keep getting distracted by your rope girl!

I don't think Tony or any of the team were too hard on Palmer. I think it was Palmer being too hard on himself. I mean he didn't have a fraking gun what the hell was he supossed to do . Mr TV, I keep getting distracted by your rope girl! Jessica tends to do that.

What's with the sissy girlyman yelling as he rams the truck? The best part? (so, did you call Will Smith a girlyman for doing the same thing in 'Independence Day?" <at least he most recently 'invented' the bit...>)

...Gibbs was kind of meh. I think MH dialed that one in. (I'd be in negative karma if I said that out loud at Special Ops!) Interesting you say that, because I've had that feeling several times over this season -- and this was "his" season since DB left & MH stayed. It made me a bit nervous to see it, as if it might be trouble in paradise, boredom, or something similar that might lead him to leave & there goes the show... (not that I'm predicting he'll be the fatality, because he's announced he's returning for S6 and I think someone even mentioned photos for the first ep... ? ) 'Cos he's the Boss o' Boss? I do wonder that Gibbs has been so tame around him & so dismissive & patronizing of Madam Director. Yeah, yeah, they had a history so he may not see her as an authority figure, but honestly, stuff like that made me assume it was yet another attack of the testosterone/ Y chromosome-heavy writing staff.. Yeah, it felt kind of rattled & unsettled, didn't it?

Same as Ziva last week. I hope they're done with the self analysis for a while. I'm not a big fan of the overly melodramatic eps.
Bring on more Tony in a holster, with a gun and pantsless! ;D

I liked "About Face" but, I didn't care for Palmer yelling or squealing. I liked how the team interacted with each other, but, I thought that Palmer was being too hard on himself. Fast National ratings for Tuesday, May 13, 2008. "NCIS," 9.4/15, was a healthy second for CBS. Here's the link, www.zap2it.com/tv/ratings/zap-ratings051308,0,1598088.story

Plamer was being to hard on himself to the point of being stupid. Even the most battle hardend of soldiers will duck and cover when fired upon. Especially when they cant shoot back. The one fault I'd have with his actions was that he didn't call for back up the second he realised he wasn't alone.

Yeah but remember he thought one of the other team members was playing a prank on him. It probably never occurred to him at the time, as it wouldn't to most of us, that the person would have a gun.
In my mind he was right to follow, he was right to duck, but was way to hard on himself.
Being someone who has been at the barrel end of a gun during an armed hold up I would never look upon what happened to Palmer lightly. I have never once thought that we did the wrong thing by doing exactly what the gunman told us and allowing him to leave without a fight. However, if he actually had have shot at one of us then I might think differently. I think I would have found Palmer's self-doubt more believable if someone had have been injured or killed because he ducked.
