Possible Spoiler SpaceTim Story on Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer Source: Tim Story August 18, 2006 Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer has updated his official Blog with more on the anticipated sequel, and even a little mention of Superhero Hype!: Well here we are. Exactly two weeks til this all gets under way. Seeing a lot of stuff now. The latest test of Chiklis' new thing makeup is looking good. I think I told you guys about how we were improving the suit. For one it's lighter and will allow Chikie to be more athletic. I know many of you wish the Thing could've been more agile, well you got it. Michael's excited. We've made improvements to areas like the brow. Yes yes, it's a little bigger. You guys have to remember the brow can't be too big because it just doesn't look as good as you might think, but we have improved it. This all came from the fans saying they wish it were bigger. He'll be wearing more clothes as well. Now that he's comfortable with himself, we can have more fun with his appearance. Wait until you see him in his tux. The new mask for Doom is awesome. There's a more evil tone to it. I've been working on a maquette of the entire Doom look, complete with armor with my friends at Spectral Motion (the guys who brought you Thing, Beast, Juggernaut, Hellboy, etc...) The look is madd cool. I think you guys will like it. And don't worry Julian will be seen. I talked to him yesterday and he can't wait to get busy. The Silver Surfer's look just continues to get better. We're trying test on the wake that his board will leave and we're starting to really get into the look of his eyes. Classic Surfer looks from the comic. I think you will all enjoy it. Yes, now the question that I keep getting asked too many times...Doug Jones or no Doug Jones. Here's the low down. Doug has been working on a number of things regarding the Surfer. In order for the presence of the CGI SS to appear and move real, we need someone to perfect movement and provide a base, to which WETA can do their thing. That the jest of it. I don't know what that confirms for you guys but there you go. Oh yeah, I didn't tell you guys the result of my "studio meetings". Well it wasn't as painful as I thought it was going to be. We found places to cut and not mess with the integrity of the movie. Both sides were happy. 6 hrs ya'll...6! Stuck in a room - dissecting every piece of this movie. The coolest thing was actually the difficulty in finding things to cut. That normally means you need what you got. For the aspiring directors and writers - if you cut it out and find that you don't miss it...you never needed it. As filming begins, I'll try to share on set pix. I can't get to crazy but whatever I can I will. And for those of you expecting me to pop up on Superherohype, forgive me, I just didn't think that I could keep up with two different blog areas. My days are swamped as you can imagine. Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer hits theaters on June 15, 2007. Who is Braugher in Fantastic Four 2? Source: Variety August 24, 2006 In a Variety article talking about how Forest Whitaker will star in "ER" episodes next season, the trade mentions that the actor took over the role from Andre Braugher (images): Braugher, an NBC veteran from his days on "Homicide: Life on the Street," was supposed to play a patient who enters the hospital with a seemingly innocent cough but suffers a stroke while waiting to be treated. He'll be heading to the bigscreen instead, co-starring in the Fox sequel "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer," which is in pre-production. Stay tuned for which character he may be playing. I used to watch Andre Braugher on Homicide and he gave one of the best performances I've ever seen , TV or movies. It's great that they have cast him here, I hope they give him an interesting part.

Possible Spoiler SpaceFantastic Four Sequel Starts Filming Source: Advanced Dark September 2, 2006 Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer director Tim Story has updated his official Blog and says that filming has started on the sequel: So it has begun! The Fantastic Four have been photographed for Rise of The Silver Surfer. Felt like old times. Everyone's back in the mix and really picking their characters up where we last left off. We also shot Andre Braugher for the first time. He plays General Hager, an old acquaintance of Reed Richards and one of the major additions to the movie. Jessica is looking amazing. Chris has his energetic performance firing on all cylinders. Ioan looks great and Chiklis is funny as ever as the blue-eyed Thing. One of the days was pretty long. Just happened to be one of those locations that we can't come back to and we had a lot of effects shots. Those things always take forever. The background plates, then the actor buy himself, then the crowd. Blah blah blah. Wish we could shoot everything practically, but then again, I guess stretching Ioan may not go over too well. More to come guys. Fairly straightforward start. 3 days off then we're back to it. 20th Century Fox will release Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer on June 15, 2007. Possible SpoilersFantastic Four 2 Set Reports Source: kuhlaiyen September 10, 2006 Scooper 'kuhlaiyen' caught some of the Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer action in Vancouver this weekend: On Saturday morning on the 9th of September 2006 in Vancouver BC at Granville and Pender, I saw some interesting Fantastic 4 sequel production going on. It's not uncommon to see filming around here, but I became interested when I saw some people "discreetly" handling a prosthetic mask of the Thing! Then I saw Michael Chiklis, the Thing himself. He wasn't "Thing" at the time, just in his street clothes. The man is short! Then I saw a silver/grey Dodge Ram truck being hoisted into the air by a crane. Pretty cool stuff, but sadly no Jessica Alba 'KalEl1949' also witnessed the filming and said: I was downtown on Pender on Saturday when I got to watch filming of the Fantastic Four sequel. They started with a clip of Johnny Storm and The Thing coming out of a cake shop with two wedding cakes. The Thing's car is blocked by vans in front and behind so he hands the cakes to Johnny and lifts the car out of the spot and tosses it onto the road. It took a few hours to film all of this but it was definatly quite a sight to see The Thing in full costume, it looks like they've make his brow thicker. Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer is coming to theaters on June 15, 2007. Here's the link, www.superherohype.com/news/fantasticfournews.php?id=4710
