WOW there is more to that bemoreyou.com party than I thought. The website was started by Valarie Rae Miller. Original Cindy herself! Plus JA will be doing a monthly recipe for the site. When I saw the pics on wireimage they were small and it looks like her name is spelled differently than what she used on DA so I wasn't sure if it was the same Valerie Miller but here is a story from EXTRA extratv.warnerbros.com/v2/news/0805/17/2/text.html they also have a video clip but you need quicktime ( I don't ) Here is a slightly edited version of the story. It was girls' night out in Hollywood Tuesday night, as Jessica Alba, Eva Mendes and Eva Longoria hit the town for a night of beauty and shopping, and only "Extra" was there as the lovely ladies got glamorous at Los Angeles' exclusive Point Du Vue Salon. Mendes and Alba were out to promote their monthly blogs on www.bemoreyou.com, a new Web site created by their friend, Valarie Miller, an actress who co-starred with Mendes in "All about the Benjamins" and with Alba in "Dark Angel." "My creative outlet, oddly, is cooking," Alba admitted. "So my monthly thing on her Web Site is that I contribute a dish." And on Mendes' blog, she encourages women to pamper themselves with things such as taking a nice, hot bath. For their work on the site, Miller treated the actresses to gift bags loaded with all kinds of goodies. "See this is cute because you could clean the floor in this," Mendes said, while showing us one of her gifts. "You could go to the grocery store, and then you could go and have lunch in this. And yes, I do clean the floor." Sounds like the kind of star-studded endorsement that could be the recipe for success!

I read that burnt butter recipe that Jessica has on the site and it looks hard to make. You would have to do the butter thing so perfectly or it would be ruined. I think ShadowWarrior should send his chicken recipe to Jessica. He gave me the recipe and I cooked a whole meal for the first time in my life. Also the last, but it was yummy!I love chicken.

Oooooooooooooh! OC! ;D Damn she look different now, with her straight hair! But once you hear that voice you can't help but remember Original Cindy! Dzero, I think you're the first one who doesn't like quicktime! Though I used to hate real so much I refused to install it!

I don't know; my chicken recipe is rather simple and plain, not necessarily the most regal thing to be sending to high profile people.
That's cool to hear that Valerie and Jessica still communicate and that they are doing something positive for woman.

Alba May Dream of 'Jeannie' Tue, Aug 23, 2005, 10:08 AM PT LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com)- Is Jessica Alba ready to ditch her already successful comic book franchise in favor of an untested television adaptation franchise? If you trust the occasionally reliable (and often entirely bogus) "Page Six" sources at the New York Post, Alba is the only member of the "Fantastic Four" cast having second thoughts about a sequel. Instead, the Post speculates (without any specific source or comment from the actress' camp) that Alba is getting ready to join Jimmy Fallon in a feature version of "I Dream of Jeannie." "Fantastic Four" passed the $150 million market at the domestic box office over the weekend and a sequel is a foregone conclusion. Given that few potential franchises even start production without holding studio options for sequels on the stars, "Fantastic Four" producers are highly unlikely to let Alba exit her role as Sue Storm without a fight. The Post offers no quotes (even taken out of context) to support any part of the "Four" rumor, though Alba's lead casting in "Jeannie" seems at least somewhat plausible. "I Dream of Jeannie" has been in development for some time. Gurinder Chadha ("Bend it Like Beckham") was the most recent director attached to the project, with Kate Hudson at least one possible star. Alba will next be seen in "Into the Blue," a treasure hunting action drama with Paul Walker set for release at the end of September. This was mentioned on ETonline as well. Suge Knight is a person that some people love to hate. No 'Dream' for a 'Wake'-ful Alba Jessica Alba has dashed hopes of fans who were looking forward to seeing her in a movie remake of "I Dream of Jeannie." "I just signed on to an independent called 'The Wake' for Miramax, actually, with Sigourney Weaver and Hayden Christensen," she told me at the Sagamore Hotel's Us Weekly party. "So I'm going to do a little artsy movie next." So no channeling Barbara Eden in the near future? "Not that I know of, no." And the actress — who told me she'd lived through three tornadoes in Texas and wasn't bothered by a little old thing like Hurricane Katrina — said she'd rather hang with rockers than actors any day. "Music people are more fun," she said. "They don't take themselves too seriously. There's always big fun posses; they have fun with their celebrity. Actors are so intense, it's a different vibe." ML Fan got this from the New York Daily News.com, I think. It's worth repeating.
No 'Dream' for a 'Wake'-ful Alba Jessica Alba has dashed hopes of fans who were looking forward to seeing her in a movie remake of "I Dream of Jeannie."
"I just signed on to an independent called 'The Wake' for Miramax, actually, with Sigourney Weaver and Hayden Christensen," she told me at the Sagamore Hotel's Us Weekly party. "So I'm going to do a little artsy movie next."
So no channeling Barbara Eden in the near future?
"Not that I know of, no."
I agree with dzero. Great news. Sigourney Weaver is one of my favorite actors, so this is a movie I will see. That genie in the bottle thing - ugh. You couldn't have paid me to see that. Well, unless MW was in it.
Oh oh. Miramax. Jessica promised she would act in a Miramax film free if whichever Weinstein (Harvey or Bob) bid on some big priced item at the Aids auction in Cannes.

Jessica was on accesshollywood and she said she was at her table and when she and her group got up to leave Surge Knight sat down at the table and a few seconds later he was shot . Jessica said she was in the lobby when they heard the shot . Saw JA on Extra and when she told the reporter she wasn't doing "Genie" the reporter said something like "That's too bad" and JA started laughing ;D.

Didn't the Weinstein brothers leave Miramax to start their own company?

I think they had a couple of films they had to do there. It was a complicated parting and the brothers do not get along.
Boring gossip and not about Jessica.
I'm so happy she isn't doing the Hollywood regurgitation thing. ;D

Some JA comments from contactmusic. Sexy actress JESSICA ALBA often fantasises about being the president of America - because she loves the idea of dominating a room full of men. The FANTASTIC FOUR star admits a position of huge power and hordes of men working under her, would be a dream come true. She says, "(My sexiest fantasy is) me in the Oval Office, in a suit, surrounded by make aides, smiling sweetly at the camera, knowing I rule everybody. I'm all about female empowerment." www.contactmusic.com/new/xmlfeed.nsf/mndwebpages/alba%20wants%20to%20be%20presidentFANTASTIC FOUR star JESSICA ALBA shuns men who devote their lives to the gym - because she believes the look "ridiculous". The sexy actress admits that men who spend much of their time sculpting their bodies are often "lacking upstairs". She says, "There's no much thing as an ideal body; that's just silliness. It just has to be a body I want. "I've never been into guys who work out three hours a day. It looks ridiculous, and they're usually lacking upstairs." www.contactmusic.com/new/xmlfeed.nsf/mndwebpages/alba%20musclemen%20look%20ridiculous

The two companies are co-financing the film, which will be the directorial debut of Joby Harold, who also wrote the script. The story focuses on a man (Christensen) who suffers "anesthetic awareness" and finds himself awake and aware, but paralyzed, during surgery. His young wife (Alba) must wrestle with her own demons as a drama unfolds around them. "This film will do to surgery what 'Jaws' did to swimming in the ocean," promised producer Joana Vicente.
