Alba: No Slutty Vixen Roles for Me
Jessica Alba has rocketed to fame on her ability to fill out the clingiest of outfits, but she warns fans not to expect her in any overtly vampy roles in the future.
"I'll leave the slutty girl to other people," the bodacious thespian, 24, tells FHM (via the London Sun). "And I'll play the sweet, moral girlfriend who believes in love -- roles that are more interesting than playing a vixen."
And Alba, who recently threatened to take legal action against Playboy for slapping a bikini-clad photo of her on the cover (she doesn't appear in the magazine -- the swimsuit pose was from "Into the Blue"), appears determined to stick to her virtuous onscreen guns.
"They want you to take off your clothes all the time when you're younger," she said during an entertainment industry forum Tuesday in L.A. (via the Daily News of Los Angeles). "I won't do that."
Perhaps it's because the actress, whose body-hugging gold Oscar gown set off a global chorus of "Ahooogas," isn't entirely satisfied with her famously fat-free figure, which Rolling Stone once described as a "marvel of feminine proportion" in which "everything slopes and curves where it should."
"I have curves, but I don't really like them," Jessica tells FHM. "I wish I was skinnier and taller."
And don't fret that Jessica's skin-nixing could be potentially career-limiting. Seems she already has a plan in place, with an eye towards moving into producing and finding a film to star in with no male lead to fall back on.
Besides, there's always hope that the right project could convince Alba, who next appears opposite Hayden Christensen in the psychological thriller "Awake," to doff her duds.
"I'm going to have to face that when a big director who I really respect has an amazing story, it might be necessary to do a nude scene," she told Britain's Zoo magazine in November. "But I probably couldn't sleep well at night being naked in . My father would lose his mind." Info from MSN News and Gossip.
