IESB's Silas Lesick spoke with Jessica Alba at the press day for her latest film The Eye on 23 january. "We'll have the entire interview with details of her experience on The Eye shortly, but first, we wanted to let you in on a few updates she gave on Fantastic Four 3 and a Dark Angel movie. IESB: How long until we get Fantastic Four 3? Jessica Alba: I have no idea. I know the writers strike and the impending actors strike has kind of put a wrench in everything production wise. That film takes a lot of prep, a good six months of prep and about six months to shoot. With the strike, I think, maybe it's put on hold. IESB: Any thought into making Dark Angel into a film?
JA: We've talked about it, I want to work with Jim so I would pretty much do anything he wants to do.IESB: In the Fantastic Four comics your character becomes a mother. Would you like to see that in the film? JA: Little Franklin? Yeah, I think that would be hilarious. He's so powerful, I think that would be a really interesting dynamic a mother-child dynamic. She's still a superhero but she's super-protective and he's wild, he can do anything and has no sense of what's appropriate, that would be really fun." Source: IESB.net

It's fun to talk about but I don't see how it would be Dark Angel.
I mean the Season One Dark Angel.
Hmmmm, but come to think of it Jim Cameron changed all that when he rewrote and directed "Freak Nation."
Most of Season One was the vision of Jim Cameron and his initial outline. The show we all loved was the day to day work of the show runner, Charles 'Chic' Eglee. He and Cameron made 21 wonderful episodes that still make me happy today. ;D

This is the first time I heard that JA is actually interested in doing a DA movie. And yes, S1 was better than S2. It would be terrific if they would make a movie that follows up on Freak Nation. At least finish the story. One can only hope.

I pretty much feel as you do guys about season 2. I think the only good thing about that season was Alex. But with Freak Land and all, i still want to see the cast again in a movie. It would be great to see them together one more time.
