ONLY?! lol what's up with all the lateness anyway? amazon has yet to send off my copy of the DA novel... but to get back on topic, i'll be seeing the 2nd ep of season 9 in an hour!!!! now i've seen it before, but that was in an ultra-low quality version on my comp where the picture was like, 2 x 3 inches, so... hmmmm... tough genetically engineered chick? where have we seen that before? still, i really liked Lucy Lawless, while Cary Elwes was just getting on my nerves (but then again, i never liked him)

LOL....the lateness.....beginning to make me very nervous because I will DIE if my Dvd's are 2 months late ;D. My roommate is seriously on the verge of hitting me if I say "Only 14 more days!" once more. On the season nine-ness: I thought that the premiere in S9 was sad, just because it's like Scully is there with this new baby and Mulder is nowhere to be found. The shipper in me is just like "He should really be there". Plus Doggett being like "We'll find him." But then Scully saying "He doesn't want to be found" or whatever. Sadness. At least to me. What do you think? Also what do you think of the lack of Scully in S9? Can Doggett and Reyes fill the void for you?

for me they can fill *part* of the void - it might be a bigger part if it weren't for Brad whatshisface pumping out hot air and pushing everyone else out of the way, but still it's not the same... but i think i still would've kept watching for a 10th Scully-less season, cos in my book, something is better than nothing... but that's just me

something is better than nothing... but that's just me yeah. But if they had come back with a 10th without GA, they better not have called it the X-Files anymore. It literally wouldn't be the same show without Mulder and Scully. It definitly changed things when Mulder left, but imagine both of them being gone. For me, D&R would never ever replace M&S for me. I love the Moose and Squirrel teamwork. They have awesome chemistry together, and they tried to re-create that with D&R but it seemed forced and generally rushed (after all it did take more than a season to get M&S's working relationship down, not to mention the romantic ship). But the sparks just naturally fly between GA and DD. It just isn't there with RP and AG. /end rant for now ;D

they actually try for a Doggett/Reyes romance?? ouch. that sounds forced just reading about it! well.... i reserve the right to change my opinion after seeing the rest of the season, k?

here i'm back again with more season 9 opinions - i just saw Hellbound (for some reason we're getting the episodes totally out of order) and i thought it sucked! major ouch. it reminded me a bit of Irresistible, which i love, but unlike some season 8 eps that were old M/S eps revisited, this one didn't compare! and what the hell was that Swayze guy doing there? MAJOR ouch! LOL the worst thing is, this was the 1st ep in 4 years that i saw for the first time when it aired here (did that make any sense?) and i didn't even realize it until it was over and i noticed it hadn't been Daemonicus.... the spark is gone, but i'm not sure if it's mine or the show's.

Definitely the show, Fee. I am a diehard Phile, and I can take crappy eps and sloppy continuation better than some. Some people said that the show completely died in S8 or even S7. I disagree with that. I think the show died when DD left for good, GA had her screen time reduced, and when they brought two new people in to take their place. Otherwise known as the 9th season. There just wasn't any way to tie the show back to its true glory days. Neither Mulder or Scully were in the Basment Office anymore, and it was made clear that they weren't coming back. Whenever Scully did fit in there somewhere she was often weepy and such, at best she wasn't KickAss!Scully anymore. Luckily, I had just started watching inS8. I didn't know what the show was lacking until I got my DVDs this summer. Then looking back I could just see how diffrent it all was really. I got officially hooked in Exsistance (?) when M&S kissed. I could just feel the importance of it, even though I hadn't ever really considered myself on a ship at all. So THEY are what got me hooked on the show not Dogget and Reyes, the shove-in replacements. So that's my view on it all. Hope that you totally don't disagree with me on this, lol. ;D And sorry for telling you about the D/R 'ship. Didn't mean to BTW: If you thought that Hellbound was bad, just wait to laugh your ass off when you see Sunshine Days.

And sorry for telling you about the D/R 'ship. Didn't mean to ahh, don't worry, i shoulda guessed they'd try sth like that! it gets worse?? ouchies... this weeks ep was 4-D, and i must admit i liked it better than Hellbound - Scully remembering season 1 - ahhhh.... and the whole parallel universe thing was kinda interesting... but Doggett and Reyes are way too chumy already - c'mon, it's only the 4th episode!

c'mon, it's only the 4th episode! Yeah. But my feelings are: c'mon its only their first year together! We had to wait years for Mulder and Scully to get that close*. And they're all mushy in the 4th ep of their partnership? Gawd. It makes me wanna strangle TPTB. *Ok here comes that looooong explanation that I feel obliged to give . I have nothing wrong with how long it took the Mulder/Scully ship to...um...develop. I'm just pissed that TPTB thinks that they have to change things so much so quickly. With the X-Files being manned by two new agents, feeling like they have to replace M&S in some way, and then to "fill the void" they give D&R the kind of closeness that M&S didn't have for so long. It's too rushed. My DVDs finally came, and you're right about Dreamland! It was just too funny. When "Mulder" smacked Scully butt I almost died. But the best part was when Scully locked "Mulder" to his own bed and turned the gun on him. Hilarious. Don't even get me started on Three of a Kind !

Daemonicus. geeee, i love their sense of order! someone please tell me - what the hell was that? X-files backwards? a case that looks like all kinds of an x-file but turns out not to be one? apart from that, it wasn't bad - except for that mad scientist guy (hello - can you say Hannibal?) telling Doggett he's in love with Scully! that could've been a nice bit of Mulder touch, except it wasn't. know what you mean about rushed - UST is good, but this is far beyond UST already! geeeez.... congrats on your DVDs!! which seasons did you get?? i ordered my DA DVDs this week together with the LOTR special edition and some other stuff - THIRTEEN DVDs altogether!! that's gonna, like, double my collection someone better stop me before i'm broke....
