So THATS why some parts were missing, not too much of a worry though. Just small paragraphs at the end. Thanks for explaining this!

See what stress makes me do? Write stories instead of study. Priorities are all screwed up.
Anyway, I think it may be a while till the next update, but I'll leave you guys with a little teaser for the next chapter of Kesal. (Omg, I sound like a TV show...)
*****
“But she… so many people care, Coda. Look at the news, people are scared. She was important to them. And we…” Desi pleaded for her brother to understand. Feeling regret was new to her, as well as the host of other emotions that came with it. But the regret was the one which hurt the most. It pulled at her heart as she watched the news replaying Max’s fall over and over again, hearing the newscaster’s exaggerated commentary on the fall and the bloody mess that came after. Watching as thousands of transgenics and their supporters crowd around the City to get some sort of news about the situation.
It made her feel bad.
Coda reached out to her, cupped her chin and forced her to look at him. “We knew that. We knew all of it when we tailed her. We knew who she was, Dee. We knew 452 was no ordinary target. We knew how many people cared about her, and we agreed, Desi. This is not the time for guilt and regret. This is victory. We got our job done, like we wanted to. This is a good thing, sis.” Coda said.
Desi glared at her brother. Enough is enough.

Max calling. Answer?
Logan tried to pull his hands free as hard as he could, but failed. The chair scraped noisily against the cement floor, the exoskeleton whirring in protest as he forced his legs to move. His captor laughed.
“See? This is what happens, Cale.”
The gloved hands flipped open his phone, taunting him cruelly as Logan heard Max’s voice come through the line.
“Logan…I got shot...” Her words were forced, shaky. She was in pain.
And then the line went dead. Momentarily confused, Logan looked up and saw a finger on the red disconnect button on his phone. Anger and rushed through him like fire through gasoline. Logan glanced up at his kidnapper and saw the sinister smile playing across his face.
“You should have just left when we told you to.”
*****
Sounds good so far?

That’s not a serious question, right? ;D And is she shot again? (Or am I mixing up stories?) Max calling Logan must be a good sign for us M/L shippers… though only if she and Logan survive your story.

Man, Greiver! I've been trying so hard to stop biting my nails; stuff like this doesn't help! Seriously, looks great, and I can't wait until we get a new chapter. Poor Logan. I still can't figure out who hates him so much that they're playing such a game of cat and mouse with him. I've actually been thinking about the word "Rindu" a lot lately. I've decided it's probably one of the most beautiful sentiments ever expressed (If I understand the translation properly ) and I just can't seem to get the idea out of my head. Thanks for teaching it to me. I'm so happy you got your files back, both for your sake and for my own selfish reasons...

I'm so happy you guys liked it! I'm not giving ANYTHING away, it will just take the fun out of everything then ... But no, you did not get your stories mixed up... *Hint* Of course they will survive! Well, maybe with a few cuts and bruises along the way, but they'll survive. It's one of the sweetest words in the language, IMO, because of the emotion that comes with it. Am happy to share it with you! Love your signature at the bottom, Lisa. I hate deadlines....

It's one of the sweetest words in the language, IMO, because of the emotion that comes with it. Am happy to share it with you! How is ‘Rindu’ pronounced? Can it be used as an adjective too, as in ‘feeling rindu’ or such? I just love other languages having terms that cannot be translated directly. ;D You make me want to learn Malay... (but the geographically closest my uni teaches is Thai, they seem to have sized down their program considerably )I'm guessing love, but it's Lent (no chocolate or alcohol 'til Easter), so you can still give the cake to Lisa or just reward me with a new chapter ;D ;D And hey, since Lent is over, tigrou can have her cake now – if it has survived in your virtual fridge, griever ;D (virtual or not, cake wouldn’t survive that long anywhere near me ;D)…. You could be clever and wait a few days to make it tigrou’s birthday cake…

It's pronounced 'Reen-doo' And yes, its an adjective, so 'feeling rindu' is correct. It also can be used in a 'I rindu you' context... But of course, the word is mostly used in a "My 'rindu' for you makes my heart bleed..." something dramatic like that. Again, thats just a rough translation from the Malay language. Ooh, Thai is TOUGH! I gave up after 3 classes...Seeing as how Malay uses roman letters and pronunciation as well, its actually kinda easy to learn. Speaking Malay anyway...Written Malay is harder, with the grammar and all that. Sentence structures are similar to the English language as well. Alot of Malay words are 'borrowed' from the English language. Oh gosh, I sound like my high school teacher... I doubt the cake would survive ANYONE's fridge...LoL! Tig's birthday is on the 14th correct? I'll mark it down then...

My 'rindu' for you makes my heart bleed Yeah, that's how I like to think of it. Such a beautiful, tragic sentiment. I just love it. sigh... When did I become such a bleeding heart romantic? It must be all this Dark Angel affecting me.It is the 14th and she would love it! She's been a very stressed out little tiger lately, but I know for a fact that she's going to be poking her head in on Saturday, looking around for shirtless Logan fics.

Thanks, griever! So you speak a bit (three classes sound like more than a bit) of Thai, too? Very cool. ;D (How about a story with a Thai title? ;D Please?). I've always wanted to learn a non-European language (and Japanes terms for karate just don't count)...

Speak Thai? Well, if you consider "Hello", "Thank you" and "I love you" 'a bit' then yeah, I speak a bit of Thai . Learn MALAY! It's easy...although it's not all that useful. Or Chinese if you want more of a challenge. Hey, aren't you the one who already knows a gazzilion other languages? By the way, is it just me or has FFNet been really slow on updates lately? I mean, the same stories have been on the DA page for 2/3 days now... Not even new ones for M/A stories. (and we all know how often MA stories pop up on FFNet...)

I was noticing that as well! Same thing happened a couple of weeks ago, you could add a story, but nobody could read it...(insert long-suffering sigh here)
I was going to post something today, too. :-(
Maybe you could teach us some more words in Malay, then this could become Griever's Fanfic and Language Education Thread?

I was noticing that as well! Same thing happened a couple of weeks ago, you could add a story, but nobody could read it...(insert long-suffering sigh here) I was going to post something today, too. :-( Arg, this is not how I wanted to learn that you have a new story. Weirdly, only the DA-part of FFnet seems to be affected. Maybe you could teach us some more words in Malay, then this could become Griever's Fanfic and Language Education Thread? Oh, yes, pleeeaase. ;D You would never get rid of me again, though… No more enjoyable way to learn a language than through fic. I’d love to see more Malay words in your stories. ;D Learn MALAY! It's easy...although it's not all that useful. Or Chinese if you want more of a challenge. After recently talking to someone who said that after three years of learning Chinese she was far from even being able to have a very easy conversation I think Chinese might be too difficult for my poor little brain. I started thinking though that I should learn another language as long as I have the opportunity to get rather cheap and high-level lessons. (Of course, what I really should do is practice those I learned, which certainly are far from being any remarkable number ) Too bad they don’t teach Malay, you made it sound like a beautiful language...

Agreed! FFNet REALLY blows... Hmmm...teach you guys Malay? Interesting idea! You really want that? I've got no prior experience in teaching any sort of languages, but I'll try my best! I'm going to make my Malay teacher so PROUD! Well, basic greetings first I guess. (Is this what you start learning with? Cuz this was what they were teaching at the Thai class) Hello - Hello Thank you- Terima kasih ( Ter-ih-mah kah-seeh) Good Morning - Selamat pagi (Se-lah-mart pah-gee) Good Evening - Selamat petang (Se-lah-mart peh-taang) Good Night - Selamat malam (Se-lah-mart mah-lam) Goodbye - Selamat tinggal (Se-lah-mart ting-gahl) Well, you guys can help me by telling me what I should do next... I'm at a total loss..
