Miserable Max on the Space Needle in Chapter 2 of High AboveUgh, if only posting at LJ was as easy as on FFnet. Saving that for when my brain is less confused with fake Japanese.

A younger Matt Sung runs into Logan while on an investigation in Shades of truth
. (As a warning I should say that this has Logan only from the perspective of a side character and no M/Lness at all )

I enjoyed that story. Thanks, dutch. Au contraire: sheer genius!Just turning around the old cliche so now it's "Art imitates life.." ;D Thanks, glad you liked my homage to the advantages of laptop-travelling. ;D (At least I didn’t force you to fish out the errors .) Is it ‘space key’ and I was wrong all the time? (And actually life goes right back to imitating art: Yesterday, after using a work laptop for weeks noticed that it has a blue shift key in an otherwise black keyboard…. )

Is it ‘space key’ and I was wrong all the time? oh, no, definitely "shift" (and definitely left), just more of my bouncing -- must have rattled the right word out of my brain as I was typing on my shiftless keyboard... (funny, that: another fun American idiom which is too perfect here -- shiftless!) ;D

Gibbs head slaps Tony and Tony head slaps Gibbs back. Uhm… resulted in my first attempt at NCIS writing, although probably not qualifying for crazy in the required sense and merely descriptive. :PHope it’s okay to post this little bit here (only 326 words). Stupid. A stupid knee jerk reflex, only natural after a whole morning of self-defense training.
Tony is sure that the trainer would be proud of him, especially considering how his attention had been with the receptionist’s short skirt, but when the flat hand hits the back of his head, he just reaches out and returns the slap, figuring it must be Ziva’s sneaky Mossad ways or even Probie. Only that his hand doesn’t hit the silky smoothness of Ziva’s hair or McGee’s accurate fuzz, but connects full-force with thick, short, gray hair. The thick, short, gray hair covering the head of his boss who was supposed to be out of town all week.
Swallowing dry air, Tony resists the urge to rub his fingers to get rid of the lingering sensation of Gibb’s hair, feeling rougher than it looks.
Gibbs just stands there. Unmoving, eyes piercing, face expressionless. It’s his typical sphinx face, unreadable and intimating and as always Tony tries to provoke some kind of reaction that’s easier to decipher. Careful to keep his look contrite, he forces his mouth into a wide, dazzling, loop-sided smirk, hoping it seems appropriately apologetic. Tony knows that most people find this kind of grin irresistible but he also knows that Gibbs couldn’t be more immune to his charms.
Face freezing into a clownish grimace, Tony remembers hearing about how chimpanzees grin when they’re nervous and that pretty much sums up how he feels. Standing there and waiting for the alpha dog to react.
And finally Gibbs does him the favor. It’s not that his expression changes or that the corners of his mouth move up for even the fraction of an inch. Rather something in his gaze relaxes, adding one or two additional wrinkles while one subtly raised eyebrow indicates amused warning. “Good reaction, Dinozzo.”
Then he turns to bark at McGee, leaving it to Tony to hurry after him while he gives Probie a triumphing glance.

Love it! Especially love the fact that Gibbs 'approves...' (and the smug look he threw to McGee...) ;D
