Happy Easter, everyone!...and especially for our German friends...The traditional German Dancing Easter Banana! (just a little holiday indulgence, me beating to death a dumb Writer's Pulse joke only I thought was funny!)~ ~
Edited to note: how come there are no Passover smilies to be found? Hmmm...

...and especially for our German friends...The traditional German Dancing Easter Banana! (just a little holiday indulgence, me beating to death a dumb Writer's Pulse joke only I thought was funny!) Ever since you said that last week I’m surrounded by bananas which do wild dances in my head. Everywhere, and bananas are the one (and so far only) fruit I don’t love in particular (except in curry-rice ;D). I think I’ll break the curse by sending dancing banana-easter greetings. You might have established a new tradition. ;D Ähm… anyway: Happy Easter!how come there are no Passover smilies to be found? Hmmm... Germany is boring and only Christian holidays get media / commercial / public attention. (Can't remember ever seeing a Ramadan smiley either or such either) But the US?

Tomorrow is the running of the Melbourne Cup. Nobody seems to know why, but we lucky Melbournians get a public holiday to celebrate the event. It's a day of booze, booze, booze, trackside fashions, more booze and a horserace. The race is usually starts at around 3:15pm - and it's considerated unpatriotic not to stop what you're doing to watch it Strange, but true.

When I was a kid I thought all those people going to the track were fools . But when I got older and could bet on the races and drink beer, suddenly I liked the track . Fun way to spend an afternoon . I only go once a year at most though because I have no idea what to bet on .

Not really a holiday - but this Saturday we have our Federal Election. Most of the polling booths (as they are usually set up at schools) will run sausage sizzles and gift stalls to raise money. Luckily we've got our school fete on the same day so it's going to be a big one! I must have really pissed someone off because I've been allocated bbq clean up duty! I'd be so much better running the lucky dip stall

Close your eyes
Put your hand into the mysterious box
Pull out a tissue paper wrapped politician mystery prize
