First, go to tools --> internet options, enter in the address. Hit apply before hitting okay, just to be sure. If that doesn't work, I recommend running an anti-spyware program, as oftentimes these insidious little buggers can auto-change your homepage, in spite of you trying to change it back.

I've tried that and run my anti-spyware program and nothing came up as being a problem, I cannot change my homepage and it seems as though it is frozen and I'm not sure why.

Sounds like Lop. You actually have to go to their website and uninstall it. lop.com/new_uninstall.exeWhen you're finished, run your anti-spyware program. Which one are you using? I recommend both Spybot and Ad-aware - run both of them.

These programs won't interfere with the Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware that I already have or show up as a problem when I run McAfee?

Okay, one last thing, (hopefully), will this free software update on its own or do I have to buy it in order for that the software to update?

Thanks for your help, Ciaran I can now change my homepage, if I want to, I wish that I had known to download an Anti-Adware program earlier.

Sick of Movie Maker's troubles so I'm out looking for some new video editing software to use for my videos...I have 2 choices I like here at my work at CompUSA....Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 or Videostudio 8.0...Is Videostudio any good? Looking for some good information, I want it to be the same quality if not better than Movie Maker...I tried a version of editing software I found, trial version, and the sound and video was terrible. just wondering if anyone can help me out and have any suggestions for something other than a $800.00 piece of software from Adobe...Preferably below $100.00

Sometimes even though my computer is set so that it doesn't save the history of viewed web pages on my computer sometimes the previous day will still show up under view history even though there is nothing there, I'm not sure as to why this is happening. Any help is welcome and apperciated, thanks in advance.

I have a "blonde" question! My computer fans have started to work faster... I mean they always have been quite loud, but now they sound like an airplaine taking off. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Fans? Plural? The ones connected to both your Power Source and your CPU are getting louder? If they are both getting louder at the same time that is very strange . Not sure why they are getting louder but it's usually not a good sign. They aren't that expensive and you should probably replace them.

Ok, I think I fixed the problem. Took the cover off and detached the fan to clean it... *GULP* I didn't knew my room was THAT dirty Then again... It's been 2 years since I got it Of course I also learned from the guys at work that I should probably clean the second fan too... Well don't ask which one I was cleaning yesterday... I'm a girl afterall, ok? Sigh... I don't remember my baby working this quiet ;D
