When I use a search engine to surf the internet, my computer saves whatever searches I've made for some reason and I wanted to know how to fix this. Thanks in advance.

It was probably just some computer blip that reinstalling fixed. It's pretty common. Edited to say that sometimes newer versions of mediaplayer have upgraded codecs that allow other things to play.

I had the latest version of Windows Media Player installed already and that was why I found it to be odd that my CD wouldn't play. Autocomplete deleted my old searches, thanks, Ciaran.

The CD rom is three years old, the CD that I had an issue with had a different way of downloading/copying music and that was what I think caused the problem, this was mentioned on the CD.

The CD copied and dowloaded what I wanted it to, it was more difficult, because, the artist has a built in license for dowloading their music on their CD, they just want to detract people from illegally downloading their music.

The CD copied and downloads properly now, so there's no need to get another CD, but, thanks a bunch for the offer, MaxCale.

Are you using Internet Explorer, Firefox or what? Hmmmm. I need to think about this. I do remember when you asked a techie question a while ago, I posted a solution that was incredibly boring to read, as well as write, you spurned it. On to short films I have enjoyed.

Well, I'm not a computer nerd, so this is just a shot in the dark, but I do remember reading somewhere that there are some spyware programs out there that will screw around with your homepage setting. (At least I think that's what it said. It was in computereze, and I only speak English.)
Are you running any of those spyware detection programs?
