www.theonion.com/content/news/bunch_of_phonies_mourn_j_dCORNISH, NH—In this big dramatic production that didn't do anyone any good (and was pretty embarrassing, really, if you think about it), thousands upon thousands of phonies across the country mourned the death of author J.D. Salinger, who was 91 years old for crying out loud. "He had a real impact on the literary world and on millions of readers," said hot-shot English professor David Clarke, who is just like the rest of them, and even works at one of those crumby schools that rich people send their kids to so they don't have to look at them for four years. "There will never be another voice like his." Which is exactly the lousy kind of damn thing that people say, because really it could mean lots of things, or nothing at all even, and it's just a perfect example of why you should never tell anybody anything.

(Salinger would have been proud if people weren't such pains in the ass.)

Saw this a week ago and kinda forgot to post it here. SourceI gotta say the girl looks quite a bit like JMA from Fantastic4. I don't think she really needs the surgery she should just bleach her hair or something. Gotta give her credit for her dedication even if shes taken it a bit to far.

"In the news" meets "what's happening in your life" -- I'm sure lucky I know nothing about football, because I'd be torn having to choose between my 20-year hometown and my recently adopted "home" this Sunday. But this way it's lot's easier! Who Dat?? ;D

I'm very rved that New Orlean's won, great story for that city and that it came at the destruction of one of my least favorite teams certainly makes me even more happy.
