Where We Left Off: Blaming NCIS for his son’s death on a Navy ship, eccentric businessman Harper Dearing (guest star Richard Schiff) organized a number of attacks on the Navy’s fleet before ultimately setting off a car bomb outside NCIS headquarters. Upon hearing the news in Florida, medical examiner Ducky had a heart attack.
What’s Next: Don’t worry: Everyone will make it out alive. But the emotional impact of the shared near-death experience will set the tone for the entire season. “There’s a theme [of] ‘Fallen Heroes,’” executive producer Gary Glasberg says. “We’ve got these people who’ve been knocked down and they have to pick themselves up again. … [For Ducky], physically, can he do it? It’s an eye-opening experience for him.” Plus: Glasberg promises a “kick-ass” showdown between Gibbs and Dearing as well as return visits from Abby’s brother and DiNozzo’s father. Oh, and Tony and Ziva are trapped in an elevator!

Written by TV Film News Team // September 24, 2012 Here’s a new ‘NCIS,’ Season 10, Tony Back Story Scoop From Michael Weatherly There have been lots of scoops this off season in reference to Tony’s backstory. It seems we are going to learn a lot about Tony this year and that flirty thing with Ziva will begin to crystalize. Thinking back, it’s hard to remember the last time Tony opened up about his past. Here’s the news from TV guide: In a November episode of CBS’ NCIS, the origins of Tony’s fascination with cinema will be explained — and strengthen his bond with Ziva. Tony (Michael Weatherly) finds a childhood camera containing old film; Abby helps him develop the photos, which feature images of young Tony with his mom, who died when he was a kid. “She was really the beginning of his love for movies and why that is such a deep, penetrating part of who he is,” says Weatherly, who submitted his childhood pictures for the scene. “The last gift she gave him was to turn to the movies as a moral compass.” Tony shares memories of his mom with Ziva and “we end up going deeper with each other than ever before,” says Cote de Pablo. “It’s a profound, soft, vulnerable moment.” I can’t wait to hear all this stuff about Tony’s mom and I love the fact that he shares all this with Ziva! Sounds like a great episode. We all love the NCIS cases, right? But the true satisfaction of following a show for years, is the exploration of the main character – why are they the way they are? Plus, me and Tony have a lot in common, He loves film, I love film, He has a thing for Ziva, I have a thing for Ziva, He’s handsome, I’m… well, he’s handsome. NCIS returns tomorrow! Right! Except there’s actually only one poster. If Tony should have only one poster, what would it be ? It’s a good question to test fans, isn’t it ? I know the answer of course but I won’ t say anything.

Seriously, we often call each other , we see each other with our wives, we play golf and his daughter Natasha [Wagner, actress] just had a little girl, Clover, who was born just after ours so we want them to meet! I think my own father is jealous of my TV father! Hum…. Unless it’s the other way around! It’s complicated, but you can’t understand (laughs)
