I thought it would be interesting to see what everyones thoughs are as the start of the fall TV season kicks off. What shows are you really stoked for and what are your hopes expectations and fears for the future of the shows you watch regularly?
-Human Target- this show has quickly climbed up the rankings in terms of my excitement, part of that is the fact that its kicking off the season in a perilous position I.E. the Friday Death Slot on Fox. I think the potential for disaster mixed with my growing fondness for the characters and basic narrative has got me really giddy for it to start.
-House- I'm almost dreading this one because of the House/Cuddy ship finally getting its day in the sun. 3 years ago even Hugh Laurie scoffed at the idea of House being in a relationship saying he thought it would suck the life out of the character for him to find any kind of happiness in his life. Last season was the start of the happier house and while it had its moments house was far to well behaved for my tastes hopefully the Huddy-ness is short lived but I doubt it.
-Lie to Me- will start off in November with its 3rd showrunner in as many season and I'm really scared that another massive shift in narrative style and core character personalities will completely alienate a fan base thats stuck by it through some perilous times and accepted a lot of inexplicable character developments.
-Castle- Now that this show seems to have found its niche and reached a safe spot ratings wise I hope they find they're direction with the Castle/Beckett ship and manage it well.
-Chuck- Really getting a bit worried about how they're going to manage the Chuck/Sarah relationship and praying to god that Schwartz doesn't resort to his O.C. playbook and proceed to break them up and reunite them every other episode. Looking forward to some of the guest stars and a few of the other side plots (Morgan and Casey's daughter, Ellie and Awesomes pregnancy)
-the Mentalist- Hopefully they get back into the Red John plot line and keep doing what they're doing.
-NCIS- I really think tptb would have to try pretty hard to screw up the formula they've got going. Looking forward to the season opener. My one concern is how they're going to play the Tiva tension since they kinda let it fizzle out last year, hopefully they can bring it back.
-NCIS LA- More Kensi!
