The oyster and martini lunch - what a classic scene!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D The only scene that compares is...... SLAP "Your wifes name is Mona"! MrTV, have you caught up with S2 yet? First episode aired last Sunday. Very good, Valentines Day 1960's style . It is one year after the first season ended. One of those eps where they are catching you up with all the characters.

He he he the SLAP
Loved the final scene of Mad Men S1. I'm interested to see if and how it affects Don's character.

Loved the final scene of Mad Men S1. I'm interested to see if and how it affects Don's character. I'd like to rewrite what I wrote above . The time line is kind of dealt with in a weird way. 1st season ends Thanksgiving 1960, 2nd season starts St. Valentines 1962 but during the ep it felt like it should be 1961. Things hadn't changed that much . I didn't realize it was supposed to be 1962 until I read it online afterwards ( a real life event that happens in the show denoting 1962 ). Grrrrrrrgh! I want to write a bunch of stuff about this show but I don't want to spoil anything for AngelZ Are you going to be able to see the new eps soon?

I hate to see a man in pain! Will try to watch 2.01 tonight. I was going to try and wait to get a bunch of eps (gotta love a mini marathon) but my curiosity is getting the better of me. 1962? Cuban missile crisis?

Yeah mini marathons are great and Mad Men seems built for that, the movie like quality makes it perfect for watching back to back episodes. Good guess, it is Kennedy related but think waaaaaay more frivolous.

Loved the final scene of Mad Men S1. I'm interested to see if and how it affects Don's character. In the second ep you can really see that he is a different man. Kind of loosing his 'Master of the Universe' vibe. I am betting it is temporary thoughAm slightly worried that the show might loose some of it's cool as it moves forward in time. The 50's seem more ancient than the 60's ( not that I was there for either of them ). And that look at a seemingly bygone era 50's is what made it so cool. Even hearing Motown or R&B on the soundtrack seems a let down compared to the Sinatra from Season 1. am probably over reacting to the slightest change on a show I love

Will try to watch 2.02 tonightCuban Missile Crisis VS Jackie's Tour of the White House Mmmmm, I wasn't even close!*** Just read over at Special Ops that Rudolf Martin (aka Ari from NCIS) is shooting for "Mad Men". He will be "Christian" in the episode "The Jet Set". A very litte Gueststar role.

OK Mr TV, I've now seen 2.01, so if no one has any objections you can entertain us with your thoughts on the season 2 opener. lol covered most of it above couldn't wait any longerWhat did you think? Did you like the wife flirting with the truck driver? was that technically flirting? or would it best be described as a warm up for prostitution? somewhere in between IMO. Good thing Mad Men has been good because this weekends Psych was the weakest episode of the whole series IMO. The previous two were so good I guess they couldn't keep that up.
