I've decided its a lot harder to form an addiction to a TV show if you get into it after its been canceled. Well i suppose im just saying that to justify a recent trend....
First I got in to DA, well back into it as i remember watching a handful of episodes when it aired. Then it was the Wire, greatest show ever, I've some sort of twitch every time someone mentions that show I have to respond with that (and how Mr.TV can claim such a title without having first accepted its greatness I'll never know). Now I've started watching Firefly, although i kind of went about it backwards. I watched Serenity first then started watching the episodes, all 14 of them. I normally don't dig sci-fi especially the low budget TV show brand of Sci Fi. But i like the hole futuristic Western-ness. The characters are pretty cool as well.

(and how Mr.TV can claim such a title without having first accepted its greatness I'll never know). Mr. TV made no claim to the title. It was bestowed upon him by fellow board members. A term of love and respect. or a hint that I watch too much tv

I've decided its a lot harder to form an addiction to a TV show if you get into it after its been canceled. Well i suppose im just saying that to justify a recent trend.... Didn't work that way for me -- I've never been quite so addicted to a show as I have been with DA, and I didn't see a second of it until July, 2004 (yes, four years ago this very month -- and how sad is it that I remember the month I ordered S1 DVDs just because the fanfic I stumbled on entirely by accident was so intriguing? ) No less addictive for me then, but certainly less wear & tear on the emotions: I got addicted to West Wing and when it got so awful (all the feuding, just as Jimmy Smits & Alan Alda's characters were barely introduced) I left it -- and months later, no matter how many people told me to start watching again because it was back up to being a really good show, I couldn't; I'd tried staying with them before but once they got so bad they ran me off, they'd broken my heart & I didn't want to have anything to do with them . And now, every time NCIS threatens to kill off another agent I'm crazy with worry until the deed is done. (and no, I don't get too emotionally involved with shows I get hooked on; why do you ask? )So for me it's good I'm out of the loop (most of the time!) and don't discover shows until I know the series is a finite set of eps -- if I had been a DA fan at the time they put on S2, and worse, when they went through the renewed-cancelled dance, I'd still be in therapy...

What a good first ep for the new season of Psych ;D I agree with Mr TV. I knew 'the haircut' was coming, but you should have warned me about Lassiter! I laughed so loud I scared the cat. Can't wait to see 'middle-aged' Gus. Well you don't have too long to wait. Unfortunately I didn't get the Gus haircut that I wanted, but the good news is the second ep of the season is even better than the first.

Too bad about the haircut Oh the fun they could have had with that! Not sure about the whole Cybil Shepherd / Mom storyline. I think my expectations where too high and I feel cheated. I think 'Mom's' return has kind of watered down 'Dad'? Interesting that Shawn's record for never going on a 2nd date is still intact.

I'm really surprised that people even care about the Dad? Such a small part of the show . But oh well if like him then you like him. From what I have read online it looks like Shepherd is done for now but will be back at the end of the season. Was surprised by that. I loved that moment but was surprised. They have been downplaying the Sean + Jules stuff so much since that almost kiss which was over a year ago . And no comments about the Breakfast Club stuff? Has no one else seen that movie? Just like Sean in the ep I am amazed. Thought that final voice over by Gus was a great touch. just perfect finale to a fun episode.

Oh course... how stupid of me...The Breakfast Club... Doh!In my defence it's been a really, really long time since I've seen TBC - but given that I have a 9.5 year old girl in the house, I'm sure it won't be long before I see it again. (Although I must check out the rating before they watch it - MrAZ was very cranky with me for letting the girls watch Bring It On. Who knew it was rated M Oops) Also the copy that I watched was kind of hacked up with a few bits missing towards the end Gotta get this show on DVD...when the price drops low enough for me to afford Really?I love CB as the Dad. It's Shawn's reason for being so screwed up. Without Dad there is no Shawn. IMO I find the 'W' spelling of Shaun/Sean to be just too weird. Is this the common spelling up North?

Oh course... how stupid of me...The Breakfast Club... Doh!In my defence it's been a really, really long time since I've seen TBC - yeah me too. And it's not even close to my favorite John Hughes movie 16 candles FTW but the ending to this ep just made me smile/laugh it was just so unexpected and perfect IMO. LOL copy? You're not watching on TV? You and Shywriter should start a Henry Spencer fansite ;D No, I hadn't looked at the spelling til you mentioned it. Just assumed it was Sean. BTW I realise people aren't going gaga over the casting of Cybil S but I do think her casting is cool just for the Moonlighting connection. When Psych premiered I read comments from the show creator mentioning Moonlighting as an inspiration/influence. Maybe in the future they'll get Bruce to stop by . Ok that is a long shot but how bout Agnes Dipesto? ;D

copy? You're not watching on TV? Technically I watch it on my TV... About 6 months ago I got all excited because Channel 10 (the same station that airs NCIS down here) started screening Psych. The excitement was short lived because they only aired a handful of eps. The rest have probably been locked away never to be seen again. So...I'll get my Psych fix anyway I can!

You and Shywriter should start a Henry Spencer fansite ;D As long as we alternate Henry Spencer scenes with Arnie Becker scenes! I went from "not gaga" in the first ep to in the 2d... So isn't there a DA-Moonlighting connection? Dunno if it's correct (as I understand several early stories about DA turned out to be untrue) but I thought I saw a blurb explaining that Eglee or someone was involved with Moonlighting and that the the reason TPTB put Logan in the chair was to avoid the romance blooming quickly as it did on Moonlighting... ...ha, they don't want chemistry, then don't cast a hottie like MW, cast a guy who looks like Barney. (Yeah, the purple dinosaur. Or the drunk on the Simpsons. Or Rubble -- take yer pick!)

One of the all time great series . Or at least the first 2 - 2 1/2 seasons where great, the last two seasons really went off the rails. 1985 to 1987 moonlighting = great, 1988 - 1989 moonlighting =
