;D I thought this was going to be about the episode directors so I ran over to post something stupid. Okay - I voted for Tom Morrow because we didn't see that much of him. After all, there are other NCIS teams besides Gibbs's and Mr. Morrow was busy bossing around all of them. This cast of dozens is ruining my NCIS enjoyment. All those guest stars that I dislike. (I only liked one) All those old peeps taking up screen time, not to mention those little kids (ugh) and animals. When The Shepard was in charge there was too much Director and not enough team. Now with Vance there will be even more Director and not enough team. This season will be The Season of Gibbs & Vance and that means not enough Tony. Not enough Tony and Abby and Ziva. Those are the characters that give me a lot of pleasure. Whoops, is my time up?

Be honest, you haven't seen any of this seasons eps have you? Just basing your opinion on the posts here and Special Ops? And because most of us here seem to like him Aerie feels compelled to dislike Vance?

Okay, I'll clutter up the thread with chatter and hope Michele doesn't get mad at me. To "be honest" I have seen the eps in this order. 6.01 - Last Man Standing 6.02 - Agent Afloat 6.03 - Capitol Offense 6.02 - Agent Afloat 6.04 - Heartland 6.02 - Agent Afloat Maybe - maybe not. I like him very much. The guy seems to be a competent actor , is good looking, wears nice clothes but he is taking up too much time. Gibbs will be more than a referee for his team this season. This director has already become more important and is taking up too much time. Oops, already said that he and Gibbs will be irritating each other all season. I'm only watching the thing because of Tony, Abby and Ziva, so, of course, I want more of them. dzero, if you want to come to my BIG Halloween party tomorrow night, THE social event of the season, you better be nice to me.

My infamous Halloween party starts at 3pm and most of my peeps work so Saturday is best. Please wear a costume but it's no big deal, it does add to the fun. You can bring Brandy and he can hang with the other dogs, in a fenced area. Only nice dogs are invited. Lot's of food, all you can eat, two meals plus snacks. NO DRUGS.

I won't get mad at you Aerie.
I like Tom Morrow too, not cause Alan Dale is a New Zealander. Cause he was good.

Nothing would make her more miserable than locking her in with a bunch of D-O-G-S! And you just have to mention the "no drugs" thing anytime we go anywhere. pot kettle black But the party sounds fun.

I don't think that the needs to be or should be a series regular and that there is already not enough screen time without Vance being there. I think that the show should focus on the team which is the reason why I watch, but, I don't think I'm getting my wish, even though he wasn't in two episodes so far this year. I think it will be interesting to see how long Vance lasts as the NCIS director given that I think his past actions after he was hired as the director will come back to haunt him.

I can't decide why -- I mean, sure, it's lotsa Tony and that's always good, but it all was just great -- and great Tony! Still my fave this season... fave for a while further back, actually.

Jenny used Tony for her own game.

Jenny used Tony for her own game. I thought that more often than not that Jenny was undermined in her authority as the director and that the team walked all over her if she didn't see things in the same way that she did. The writers also took way too long to give Jenny a real storyline that actually related to what was going on in the present opposed to her past with Gibbs and by the time the writers gave Jenny a storyline I had lost any interest in her character. I thought that it was a bad idea to make any NCIS director a series regular.
