Now after having seen the first crossover ep I can say without a doubt I will not be watching. Life is too short for Chris Odonnell as a tough guy Yea its a hard sell, his hole zen like focus moment before a mission annoyed the crap out of me. The biggest irony of the spin-off for me is that the actors I've seen before I hate in there roles but the people I've never seen before are actually pretty good.

Some poeple were worryed that they were going to send Tony and Jimmy over to the spin off.
I'm not sure if I will watch the 2 crossover episodes on youtube or just wait until the end of the year when its on TV here.

A lot of people over at SpecialOps have been up in arms the way Tony was treated this season and I agree to an extent. Season four and 5 especially the end of Season 5 and Agent Afloat, showed a far more mature Tony a guy who looked like he was developing as a character. Season Six stunted that big time. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this inability to let characters grow and develop for fear that they wont be as well loved, its what seperates The Wire from pretty much every other police procedural ever.

My dad is like Tony 2nd in line for boss, and he said that once the boss is away the backstarbers come out.

+ Callan + Gibbs? It's not the show for me. I watch NCIS because of MW. I just can't buy Robin's Callan's character. The spin-off has nothing new to offer.

Its kinda hard to pick when we don't really know who auditioned or was available for this. I do remember hearing rumors about Lee Pace being considered and I'd have been thrilled with that he's a far more interesting actor than O'Donnell. I'm actually kind of annoyed at the way this hole thing played out. I'd have much rather they did this stuff earlier in a season so that actors from shows canceled at the end of the previous season could be auditioned. Theres going to be a lot of talent on the market this summer but they've already rounded out the majority of the major casting.

Yeah, yeah, yeah - but is Lee Pace as cute as Chris O'Donnell Lee Pace is just cooler, he reminds me of what Gregory Peck or Cary Grant would have looked like at about 25. Part of the problem is that O'Donnell is to 'cute' to convincingly pull off this sort of dark angst ridden character.

Going from Pushing Daisies to this thing would have been quite the come down.
Hopefully he's got something better on the horizon.
In a weird way this new cast and new show have made me realize how lucky we MW fans are that NCIS turned out so watchable.

He's got talent, charm and charisma by the bucket load and I figured after taking 3rd or 4th billing in the Good Shepard and that Amy Adams movie I can't remember the name of, he'd be taking more staring roles on the big screen. dzero if your a fan of Pace I highly recommend seeing The Fall, its a hell of a movie and he's brilliant in it and if you have the means you really ought to watch it on Bluray because its one of the most visually stunning movies I've seen in a long time.
