Which of course leads to the question, what -- other than brownies that each have a pan side (thanks to your special pan) DO you like eat? (or is that ?)

Ha, and you too live close to a major seafood source, so people think you're looney for not liking it? Which of course leads to the question, what -- other than brownies that each have a pan side (thanks to your special pan) DO you like eat? (or is that ?) Yes I am pretty sure that is the definition of OT. ;D I went through the OT section looking for a thread I had started about "what are some of your favorite foods" to put up a link here but Aerie seems to have banished it to the archives. Interestingly a thread that she started about "cooking" is still available in OT . But just to answer your question you could have mentioned just about any cake but Strawberry Short Cake and I would have . I just don't like spongecake ( that's what strawberry shortcake has right? ) Back to cakes I do like, I just had some Raspberry pudding/pound cake mmmmmm gooooood. A month or so ago I had maybe the best cake of my life, it was chocolate with moca frosting but I was told it was made with mayonnaise which sounds gross but it was soooo good. It was the moisteiest cake I've ever had.

Yes I am pretty sure that is the definition of OT. ;D Well, DiNozzo likes to eat, so maybe it's not quite as off topic as it would appear to be at first glance... Yeah, usually, but I stumbled on a recipe that I made for a party last weekend that was a big hit and was embarrassingly easy (and having all the incredible New Orleans restaurants at our back door, it's gotta be really tasty to get people around here to be impressed!!). The "cake" was a roll of Pillsbury sugar cookie dough baked in 2 round cake pans. WAY better than sponge cake (not my favorite either!) Yeah, I've had a secret-ingredient mayo cake -- you're right, really moist. Zucchini is another of those strange-but-moist-making ingredients -- ever run into one of them? (maybe we need a new food thread, since yours was stolen disappeared. I know someone else who might be lured in by a good food discussion... ;D)

(maybe we need a new food thread, since yours was stolen disappeared. I know someone else who might be lured in by a good food discussion... ;D) Don’t know about whom you’re talking but I’ve held myself back so far… until the Mayo in cake? Mayo? I know the zucchini, I also know the cup of oil in cheesecake filling (German quark cheese cake ;D), but mayo? Guess in a way it makes sense with mayo basically being beaten oil and eggs but still, the normal, bread-spread stuff? But just to answer your question you could have mentioned just about any cake but Strawberry Short Cake and I would have I just don't like spongecake ( that's what strawberry shortcake has right? ) Good to know it’s the cake and not the strawberries that are bothering you. ;D Now I’m confused about the nature of shortcake and what roughly might be the German equivalent. I thought it was crumbly dough / crust, like the sugar cookies dough (apparently just flour, sugar, butter and eggs, which is how I’d made a non-sponge strawberry cake), but with floppy, boring sponge cake too? (I also was confused when first hearing of sponge cake, finding it on a menu in England and imagining a kitchen or ocean sponge variety…. ) I think we need the food thread, the only halfway on topic thing I can say is that they air ‘Caged’ for the first time over here this evening.

Black Forest Mayo cake. ;D ;D It’s fate! ;D(Also impressed by all the ready made things you seem to have over there) Although maybe more your fate than mine, when I google mayo and German Kuchen all it comes up with is a Hello Kitty Zombie cake ( ;D) and two or three US-cake related links before changing to salad recipes. (Still enough to make me drool over recipes though of course ;D) Maybe we should lure you and your marathons back over here to get back on topic… So ‘Caged’.. I know I’m silly but Tony looked decidedly nice ;D when explaining his convincing tactics to McGee and fun to see McGee do his version of the mediator role...

I know I’m silly but Tony looked decidedly nice ;D when explaining his convincing tactics to McGee and fun to see McGee do his version of the mediator role... Oh, Caged ... you know, there are several eps in this season I barely remember and I'm afraid that's one of them (they stop the USA marathons somewhere in S5, I think, so S6 isn't in the never-ending loop... ) I remember only vague stuff, but Tony looking nice is always in the forefront of those memories. ;D Yay for seeing new Tony any time you can! I need to pull some of the S6 eps out later this summer in case the reruns don't get the right ones shown, when I'm feeling an NCIS craving ... there's another one I need to watch again soon for an in-progress fic that bounces off another fic that bounces off another episode... (yeah, enough bouncing!) (and about the cake-searching: I cheated by looking up the website for my favorite mayo -- I knew in the past they published lots of recipes, so figured they might on their website...)

Oh, Caged ... you know, there are several eps in this season I barely remember and I'm afraid that's one of them (they stop the USA marathons somewhere in S5, I think, so S6 isn't in the never-ending loop... ) McGee being sent into prison for an interrogation, murder happens, he investigates…. Maybe why you don’t remember, too little Tony? ;D I liked McGee in there, that the didn’t try to play tough guy but solved the situation with being his nice self. Also enough Abby to check out the spider web tattoo on her neck for perhaps trying my hand at a Ducky-Abby scene. there's another one I need to watch again soon for an in-progress fic that bounces off another fic that bounces off another episode... Hm, this is like one of those ‘If Mary is two times as old as Paul…’riddles… ;D Mentally going through your FFnet list in my intruding German brain.... (and about the cake-searching: I cheated by looking up the website for my favorite mayo -- I knew in the past they published lots of recipes, so figured they might on their website...) Favorite mayo site? Sounds luxurious… ;D (Don’t know how it happened, but looking up mayo cake lead me to a recipe for droolworthy quark-dough Apfelstrudel)

MARATHON ALERT!!
Memorial Day weekend, so of course USA has an NCIS marathon for us, 9 AM thru 11 PM EDT.
They've actually added up through S5 now, so the last eps to be shown are Judgment Day, 1 & 2 -- several eps are included that I don't think they'd shown yet.
(makes the fact that they've predicted nonstop thunderstorms for our entire 3 day weekend and my plans for catching up on some paperwork just a little less gloomy... ;D)
