While waiting for dzero’s answer… ;DStarted college today, and I swear I'll strangle the person who got this great idea of giving the students 3 10 page assignments, due day after tomorrow, on the very FIRST day... Sniff... And here I thought I'd have more 'me' time after a very hectic high school life. Definitely annoying (and those of us who were left with a cliff-hanger are feeling doubly with you ) but that’s just their way to try to scare students off and to get rid of half of them. (Seriously, if every gravely-uttered ‘all of you but a very, very few will fail’-prophesy to which I had to listen in 13 years of school and so far 7 semesters had come true, German schools and unis would be empty places (yeah, exactly, that’s why we sit on the floor ) You sure start college early in Malaysia ! I was 19 when matriculating and then knew only one girl who was younger. And college recruiters? What a strange job !

Actually here we start at 18, but i skipped a grade a few years ago, so here i am matriculating as well. And I totally agree with you on college recruiters...its a really strange job. Um, I guess the cliff hanger you're taking about is the one on Kesal?? If it is (cuz I may just be a tad bit too self absorbed and you may not be talking about Kesal), you know, I'm so sorry for leaving you guys hanging like that. I really am. I didn't expect this kind of reaction when I wrote it... And since we're in this topic...sprained an ankle today going down the college entrance steps. Lucky thing its not too major.

I didn't expect this kind of reaction when I wrote it... Sure I meant Kesal, but hope you don’t really feel that sorry, after all I was just teasing ;D and need to learn more patience anyway . And since we're in this topic...sprained an ankle today going down the college entrance steps. Lucky thing its not too major. Poor you, not a good way to start college and I guess contrarily to a sprained wrist an ankle won’t help you get more time for your assignments. And I totally agree with you on college recruiters...its a really strange job. Then it must be a good thing that they don't exist in Germany (Or at least I've never heard anything about them :

I've been learning to cook. I cooked some cookies.
I made them from a spice cake mix and they are yummy. Big cookies with cream cheese frosting.
However, the guy that gave me the "Cake Mix Doctor" cookbook, as an early Christmas gift, has been kicked to the curb.

I've been learning to cook. I cooked some cookies. Uh, lesson 2: Cookies, you bake. The proper statement is "I baked some cookies." (once a beta, always a beta.)As long as you've got your priorities straight-- keep the cookbook, kick the courtship! (take a hint from Max-- don't mess with a guy who gives you cookbooks, find a guy who can cook! )

Big cookies with cream cheese frosting. you should get a Bakers Edge pan like I did It finally came after New Years Day, I was out of town and when I came back the first thing I did was bake some brownies mmmmmmmmm good . Best thing about the pan? It comes with it's own spatula....it's smaller , the regular size ones wouldn't fit.

Maybe we should open a 'Cooking' thread. I know Tweeds could contribute. She can make gravy. ;D
dzero, what is the advantage of the wacky brownie pan?
I'm back to ask the important question. Did you use a mix or did you make them from scratch?

Maybe we should open a 'Cooking' thread. I know Tweeds could contribute. She can make gravy. ;D Oh yes, yes, yes . Food is always a good thing, especially foreign food. (Don’t complain about my reaction, it’s connected to the topic ;D)
Big cookies with cream cheese frosting. Never heard of cream cheese frosting, but it sounds yummy. (Do you have to keep the cookies in the fridge then, so the cheese won’t turn sour? : Any chance you could tell me the recipe… or is it an ultra-secret family recipe only to be passed on the deathbed? With all the DA-books it’s strange that none of the commercial-guys had the idea of a Logan-Cale-recipe-book

dzero, what is the advantage of the wacky brownie pan? It cooks all the brownies, cookies, lemon bars or whatever like they are from the edge of the pan. The best brownies are always the ones from the edge, the ones in the middle aren't nearly as good. Those three metal bars create the effect of everything being an "edge" piece. I'm back to ask the important question. Did you use a mix or did you make them from scratch? What am I? McGuyver? From Scratch? That's the silliest thing I've ever heard ;D ;D Never heard of cream cheese frosting, but it sounds yummy. mmmmmmmmmm cream cheese frosting is delicious . Everybody thinks so . Except for my dog Brandy , she hates the stuff for some reason

Okie dokie mari, we'll do it. What's a good name for this thread. You’re a walking wish-providing genie . I’m terrible with naming (must run in the family) . Good thing that there are bunches of creative people around here ;D. It cooks all the brownies, cookies, lemon bars or whatever like they are from the edge of the pan. The best brownies are always the ones from the edge, the ones in the middle aren't nearly as good. Those three metal bars create the effect of everything being an "edge" piece. Funny, in my family I’m the only one who likes the pieces from the edge . Big advantage ;D.
