Figured I'd make another one of these as the old one was locked and AICN just posted up the pre-releases giving some first details to the revamped Mid season line ups which can be found HEREThe ones that jump out for me are Lie to Me, XIII and Castle mostly because of the actors involve but also the premises seem the most appealing to my tastes.

This thread got completely buried.
Mr.Clark chose 2 out of 3 for mid-season 2009. What a guy!
Lie to Me and Castle
Today there are a few blurbs around the net about possible shows for fall 2010. This sounds good to me because I love survival in the jungle stuff.
No, I've never watched "Survivor" or any non-reality show that calls itself reality.
No Ordinary Family (ABC)
Michael Chiklis, Julie Benz and Tate Donovan head a strong cast in a tale about an ordinary, everyday family that survives a plane crash in the Amazon jungle and discovers it's no longer so ordinary or everyday.
And look at the cast for Hawaii 5.0
Alex O'Loughlin, Daniel Dae Kim, James Marsters, Jean Smart, Scott Caan and Grace Park.
I'm sure dzero will sign on for Grace Park.

I've seen pics of her in her BSG garb but this is the first whorish pics I've seen. Hot stuff.
As Lydecker said to Eyes Only, "She is not the girl next door."

TBH, I'd be tempted to bet agains the Hawaii 5.0 remake as I'm starting to think Alex O'Laughlin is jinxed this will be his 3rd new show in about as many years and the first two never even finished their freshman seasons. I'm starting to think that no matter how badly CBS or whoever wants that guy to be a star it just might not happen. Also as for my picks last year I do think I got pretty lucky on Castle and Lie to Me as I picked'em both without having seen an episode. Although I'm starting to worry about Lie to Me, I'm not wild about what Shawn Ryan's done with the show and while I still enjoy it I'm not sure how much longer its limp wristed ratings will hold. I don't think XIII ever actually aired on Network television the only thing I ever remember hearing about it was an announcement about the DVD's and I think they chopped it down to a mini-series and sold it on DVD.
As for the stuff coming up next season the two big ones I'm looking forward too are the new Rockford Files, almost entirely because its porduced by David Shore the mastermind behind House. The other one is The Good Guys starring Bradley Whitford and Colin Hanks, apparently Fox is kicking it off this summer and pairing it with Lie to Me, they'll be back on in June I guess Fox decided it wants to compete with USA and AMC for the summer shows.
Also supposedly Aaron Sorkin's new show will presumably be airing all I know is its about a Kieth Olberman style political pundit and will presumably be Sportsnight-ish in its presentation. David E. Kelly was supposedly working on his newest series as well.
P.S. I also found out about an hour ago that in a bonus bit of good luck one of my favorite women in Hollywood Sophia Bush is filming a pilot for ABC or somebody so she might finally be making something worth watching!

...supposedly Aaron Sorkin's new show will presumably be airing all I know is its about a Kieth Olberman style political pundit and will presumably be Sportsnight-ish in its presentation. Oh, that's right! I'd forgotten about that; good to hear it's actually gonna come about! Love the irony, since Sports Night was allegedly based on/inspired by Sports Center at the time Olberman was on that. (As we've made too clear before, Aerie and I are serious Sports Night fans... others of you too out there, certainly?) ...oh -- a remake? really? Eh... not sure about that. I got hooked on the show when some station would show it in the afternoons just after classes got out... James Garner *is* Rockford, and how will they manage without Angel and Rocky and what's his name from the joint who kept calling Jimmy "Rockfish?" Nah, it's gonna take a LOT to improve the original. This is the only one I've even seen mentioned -- I like Whitford and am going to check it out -- though what I read about it talked more about his mustache than the show.

Two pieces of news about two new shows we WONT be watching, that I'm kinda bummed about.
The new Rockford Files has apparently not been picked up, I'm kinda perplexed about this. On the one hand I was looking forward to it because its written by David Shore the genius behind House. On the other hand it starred Durmet Mulroney who may be the least charismatic actor in history, kinda the anti-Hugh Laurie. Apparently Mulroney bombed in the pilot which I imagine is what killed it, however rumor has it that because NBC is so fond of David Shore they were considering scrapping the pilot and recasting Mulrony and taking the show to series anyway, looks like that wont happen now thought.
Also NBC declined a Pilot I'd never heard of but am now very sad I won't get to see, its called "Rex is not your lawyer" and the reason I'm suddenly sadded its no longer going to air is that it was supposed to be the Stateside debut of David Tennant of Doctor Who fame. While I've never been a fan of Dr. Who, I have been very curious about Tennant who seems like an incredibly charming and captivating presence on screen. Supposedly this pliot has him playing a 'lawyer so crippled by anxiety that he takes to coaching all his clients into defending themselves.' While it sounds kind of stupid Tennant is someone I very much wish would make a splash in the states. Personally I'd much rather watch him than that Alex O'Laughlin twit, really don't get what people (re: women) find so fascinating about him.

In the good news column the loverly Daneel Harris is back in a staring role in a sitcom called Friends with Benefits, which hopefully means she'll be prancing around in her underwear as much or more than she did on One Tree Hill.

Funnily enough I also agree with you about Jeffrey Donovan the guy on Burn Notice, he is kinda creepy. Interestingly the only time I actually liked his work was when he was on a short lived show called Touching Evil, but the reason I thought he worked well their was because they played up his natural creepiness to the nth degree.

You've mentioned that Monk ep before LOL it really stuck with you eh? ;D You do realize he was supposed to be creepy in that episode right? Speaking of Burn Notice I am excited for it's return in a couple weeks. Not sure if I mentioned it here or not but last seasons finale was excellent. Not many shows have the balls to end a season with it's lead character shipped off to a secret CIA ' black site' prison, hooded, shackled and alone.
