Jessica Alba Hopes She Doesn't Ruin Daughter JESSICA Alba is worried about how her daughter will cope when she realizes she has a famous mommy. The actress — who raises Honor Marie with husband Cash Warren — admits she’s concerned about her Hollywood hottie status now that she’s a mother. “I don’t know if its healthy,” says Jessica, 29. “It’s a tough balance. It’s tough to figure out if you’re going to ruin your kid for the rest of their life by the decisions you’re making. I try to do the best I can and try to balance as much as I can between work and family and giving her boundaries but also letting her make her own decisions. This is definitely therapy material! I just know it!” Alba recently admitted she’s frustrated that many people aren’t aware of her true “simple” nature. “I grew up Catholic so I have lots of guilt I can’t seem to shake away. I’m really just a simple girl from the suburbs,” she said. “But, a lot of the time, the magazines don’t show that side of me. I’m proud of my heritage. I need to find time to be myself and not to be only a personality part of the business.” Info from www.showbizspy.com

Jessica wins award THE 31st annual Razzie Awards have celebrated the ''Berry Worst Achievement in Film'' for 2010 by handing out awards to Sex and the City 2 and M. Night Shyamalan's 3-D fantasy, The Last Airbender. The Last Airbender took home the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation's gong for worst picture, worst director, worst screenplay, worst supporting actor for Jackson Rathbone and the new Razzie category, worst eye-gouging misuse of 3-D. The evening's other major loser was Sex and the City 2, which took home worst actress for all four of its stars - Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon - worst sequel and worst screen ensemble honours. Worst actor went to Ashton Kutcher for Killers and Valentine's Day, and worst supporting actress to Jessica Alba for The Killer inside Me, Little Fockers, Machete and Valentine's Day. Though the Razzie nominees rarely attend the ceremony, Sandra Bullock did show up last year, the night before she won her Oscar for The Blind Side, to pick up her Razzie for All about Steve. "Fashion represents one's identity" Jessica Alba loves to play dress-up. So the actress tells Vogue.it as she approaches the final stretch of a daylong fashion shoot, which has seen racks of clothing, rows of shoes and a cluster of diamonds service her needs. As the sun sets over downtown Los Angeles, her fresh-faced beauty and upright posture betray what at this point must be sheer exhaustion; particularly because her black, lacy couture gown of choice is successfully concealing her growing second child. In the 17 years since Jessica made her screen debut (in the 1994 feature Camp Nowhere) we’ve had front row seats to her seemingly smooth transition from young teen to sophisticated lady. She’s made us laugh (Little Fockers, The Love Guru), fought crime and evil forces (Fantastic Four, Dark Angel) and danced her way into our hearts (Honey). But with all of the roles she’s taken on, it’s clear when she speaks of them that the one she relishes most is being a mother to two-year-old daughter Honor and wife of three years (and counting) to Cash Warren. Of course, the California native – who celebrates her 30th birthday on April 28 – also has other loves, with fashion being one of them. The lady who loves to play dress up tells us all about it. Our interview is fixed for seven in the morning, Los Angeles time, but my telephone rings at ten to. Jessica Alba is on her way to the airport with her husband Cash Warren and three-year-old daughter Honor Marie. She has a shrill voice and professional manner, despite the little girl's whims and the noise of Los Angeles traffic that are background to the conversation. "Being a mother has taught me how to adapt to any situation", says the twenty-nine-year-old actress, protagonist of blockbusters such as Sin City and The Fantastic 4, and considered one of the sexiest women in the United States. Unlike most of her colleagues, she has never accepted to bare all in front of the camera. "I am basically conservative, and this is due to the education I received from my parents. I know how this market works and I am prepared to play along", says the unforgettable hot nightclub dancer in Sin City. "But to go naked does not interest me at all". "I have always been very aware of my looks - she continues - and I have worked hard to work on them and keep them". Strict diets and athletic training have always been part of her agenda. But since she has had a daughter, her attitude has changed. "After the pregnancy, I felt liberated. I learnt how to accept my body and I give less importance to my appearance", says the actress, now expecting her second child due to be born in the summer. Info from www.vogue.it and Maestro's site.

Jessica Alba coming to D.C. Actress Jessica Alba is set to visit Capitol Hill on May 24 and 25 to encourage Congress to pass the Safe Chemicals Act. Alba, who is a spokesperson for the Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families Coalition, will hold a press conference on the 24th and spend both days meeting with politicians to ask them to support the legislation to “increase the safety of chemicals used in consumer products, increase public access to health and safety information, and protect vulnerable populations like pregnant women and children," according to a release. “Alba, a mother of one with a second child on the way, first learned four years ago about toxic plastics used to make baby bottles, brain toxins in children’s toys, carcinogens in cleaning products, hormone-disrupting chemicals and many other dangerous poisons that children are exposed to on a regular basis." www.eonline.com/uberblog/b242611_jessica_alba_shocker_this_guy_regrets.htmlJessica Alba Shocker! This Guy Regrets Breaking Up With Her Wed., May. 18, 2011 1:26 PM PDT by MARIANNE GARVEY relationshipcourt.com Jessica Alba makes men drool. We all know that. But imagine if you actually dated her? Like, in real life? Well, this guy did—even took her to prom—and 13 years later, he's still thinking about her. Of course he is. So what's the deal? Chris Lakkees, now a vice president at a health company in Huntington Beach, Calif., dated the Fantastic Four hottie for a full five years, when they were teens and before Alba shot to fame. But, as any man would imagine, Alba's not an easy woman to get over—and Lakkees certainly hasn't, still pondering over how the two could have made it work as a couple. So he's created a website that's inspired by their relationship. Lakkees tells E! News the idea for the site, dedicated to his first love, sprung from wishing someone could have mediated his and Alba's breakup to at least preserve a friendship. "We were kids when we dated. I'm a grown man now, but the idea was always in my head that if there was a place where you could go to have someone mediate, that would make a great difference in so many people's lives," he says. The site, relationshipcourt, is a free social networking page where people act as jurors who vote on sides and dish out advice to couples having arguments. Lakkees compares it to a group therapy session. And if you win the argument? You get a gift from the loser. Lakkees says although he hasn't spoken with Alba in ages, he still thinks of her and to no surprise, some recent girlfriends have gotten jealous that he actually gets to say he once dated the star. "I met her at 14, we stopped talking when we were 19," he tells us. "We weren't always together. She was [away] shooting." He gave Alba, who was homeschooled, a genuine high school experience when he took her to his prom at his all-boys school. "We met when we ended up being in the same acting class," he says. "That's how it all started. We hit it off." And, not surprisingly, he says he was "crazy" over her, saying he loved her with all his heart. "I told her I wanted her and me to be together forever," he said, but now wishes he could have the married and pregnant mom as a pal. We're sure he'll take her any way he can get her.

www.hollywoodlife.com/2011/05/29/jessica-alba-cash-warren-baby-its-a-girl/A friend close to the couple reveals that they are expecting their second baby girl later this summer! Jessica Alba, 30, and husband Cash Warren, 32, recently revealed that they will be welcoming another girl into their family. Great news! There’s no doubt that the couple will have their hands full this summer taking care of their new baby as well as almost 3-year-old daughter, Honor. However, they couldn’t be any more excited. “They are really thrilled that Honor’s going to have a sister to play with and be close to,” says a source. Jessica’s mommy duties aren’t just restricted to her family life this summer: she’ll be starring as a stepmother and part-time spy in Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World, hitting theaters on August 19th. Though shortly after that, the Maxim Hot 100 honoree will be taking a break from the big screen for at least a year in order to focus on maternal matters. Cash, who met Jessica while working on the set of Fantastic Four back in 2005, is thrilled about the new addition to their family, but may fear for his virility. “[He] has been joking that he’s going to be overrun by all the females in the house, but he really loves the idea.” Let’s hope he loves pink!
