I'm not here to dis her or flame her or be negative just for negativities sake, but I've never been a believer in blind allegiance either. I enjoy watching her on screen immensely, I just find it frustrating to see her talent going towards projects she herself speaks negatively of after there released.

Of course, we all wish the best films for her. That's why we're here. Blind allegiance is what we do here. ;D It makes it a happy little place to come to. It also makes us different from all the other crap holes.I get all the real life I need out in the world - pesky clients, mutter, mutter, mutter.Look around - we're a bunch of idiots, what do we know. ;D You can be silly here and we won't laugh at you. Well, dzero will - but you know what I mean.Signed, Sally Sunshine rn2jd.tripod.com/Hello.gif[/img]Now back to The Love Guruclickie wickies

I get all the real life I need out in the world - pesky clients, mutter, mutter, mutter. Not to mention a b!tchy boss, poor Aerie. Now back to The Love Guru oooo I haven't seen that pic before, JA looks gorgeous P.S. I think shywriters take on Jessica's role in the film and what she can expect in peoples reactions to her role are spot on.

Saw this today, all ill say is that an hour and a half of Mike Myers making p*nis jokes is nowhere near as funny as it used to be.

Jessica Alba Left Mike Myers Gasping on Set Mike Myers worked hard to study up on being the “Love Guru” for his latest comedy, but nothing could prepare the comedian for co-starring with the stunning Jessica Alba. “She would come to set and there would be audible gasps from all of us. I was like … wow,” Myers told Pop Tarts at last week’s Hollywood premiere, referring to Alba’s pleasing aesthetic. “Jessica Alba is not only one of the most down-to-earth, lovely people that I have ever met, she’s one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever seen in my life.” But while Myers was in awe of Alba, fellow actor Romany Malco couldn’t control himself in her presence. “Jessica’s so easy it’s crazy, because she’s so down and easy that she’s really approachable,” he said. “When I first met Jessica I just started rambling. We just rambled for hours.” Justin Timberlake also makes quite an impression in the comedy, but that probably has more to do with wearing nothing but some stretchy Speedos. “We had a ball making this film — that was the wrong choice of words, wasn’t it?” Timberlake stammered. “Ah, we had a lot of fun making this film.” Info from www.foxnews.com.

'Get Smart' gets audience with $39.2M debut June 22, 2008, 12:36 PM EST LOS ANGELES (AP) — Audiences still get Maxwell Smart. Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway's "Get Smart," the Warner Bros. big screen update of the 1960s spy sitcom, raked in $39.2 million to debut as the No. 1 weekend movie, according to studio estimates Sunday. But movie-goers did not get Mike Myers' "The Love Guru," the weekend's other new wide release. The Paramount Pictures comedy about a self-help mentor took in just $14 million to open at No. 4. yeah so ugh....kinda sucked. Can't win em all Jessica was fine but her part didn't call on her to do anything. I think shywriter was speculating that her part in this would be comparable to the different female leads in the Austin powers movies. That sounded right to me, was really disappointed that her role was significantly smaller. I will say I loved JA in the bollywood dance scenes. Kind of sad that we won't be seeing her on the big screen again for a while. OT but did anyone here see the Mike Myers Daily Show appearance last week? Talk about awkward and uncomfortable . Think the guy should be looking for a guru not attempting to make comedic movies about being a guru.

I didn't think that opening on the same week as "Get Smart" helped anything.
I didn't think her roles in either this movie or "Good Luck, Chuck" gave her anything to do, which I thought was unfourtunate because she had really wanted to be in a comedic movie.
