I know it's pretty standard to do this, but, she is naturally beautiful. Was Alba Altered? When Marvel comics released promotional posters for the film Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, blogs immediately noted that Jessica Alba had been given the Photoshop treatment. As expected, Alba (who turns 26 tomorrow) sports her character’s trademark blue eyes and blonde hair, but what was surprising was the fact that the actress’ tawny skin tone appeared to have been lightened by several shades and her jaw line had been slimmed. The result was more along the lines of a Denise Richards/Claire Forlani hybrid. Or, as the popular blog The Superficial snarked, “They could've put Chris Rock in there and it would've looked more like her." However, insiders claim that Alba's look wasn't doctored. A source on the set of the Fantastic Four tells Usmagazine.com: “The character of Sue Storm is blond-haired, blue-eyed, just as she was in the first Fan 4 film, just as she was conceptualized and realized in the comic book series.” Reps for the film had no comment. Apparently Jessica and the other Fantastics will be in Melbourne on May 4 for the a special movie screening. There are tickets for the event, but for the competition I need to nominate a question to ask my 'favourite' F4 member. Any suggestions? ooooooo this is interesting . Gonna take some thought . When do you need to submit the question? Guess who spent so much time thinking about what question to ask that she forgot to submit her entry?

However, insiders claim that Alba's look wasn't doctored. Rubbish! Every film poster is doctored and manipulated. Standard industry practice. I once had to organise a photoshoot 'recreating' the Titanic poster and discoverd that it is actually physically impossible to position 2 models in exactly the same pose

AngelZThis poster was not only doctored - I think they used a robot or possible an extra-terrestrial. Look at those big eyes. I would not have recognized her from that poster. It's not her hair.

The main reason that I am a little skeptical about this movie is because the trailers looked good and promising, but a lot of the scenes in the trailers were cut from the final version of the film. Jessica is wearing a wig.

S'okay Aerie... 'Wig' would've been my first guess anyway. The wig is AWFUL. Saw it on the big screen today before Spidey-3 started, and it is really really bad. I hope it's not like that for the entire movie... LoL.
And I agree with Angelz too. The pic reminded me of the kid in 'Artificial Intelligence'....

Fantastic Four drop guard MELBURNIANS can sleep securely this weekend, safe in the knowledge that the Fantastic Four are on hand to ward off supervillains. The cast of Hollywood superhero blockbuster Fantastic Four -- Jessica Alba, Ioan Gruffudd, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis -- are in town to promote the sequel, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. The easygoing stars will see the Hawthorn-Essendon game at the MCG today and present an award at the Logies tomorrow. The first F4 film earned $400 million-plus worldwide and there are high hopes Rise of the Silver Surfer will better that. The fantastic foursome's Melbourne visit began yesterday morning with a bracing walk in the wind on St Kilda Pier. Such scenery is nothing new to Welshman Gruffudd, whose long-running role as noble seaman Horatio Hornblower in the television series made him a favourite with the ladies. "He's still a part of my life," Gruffudd said, four years after his last turn as Horatio. "I'm very proud to have played Hornblower and to enjoy the trappings -- he reflects really well on me as a person." Gruffudd, also the face of UK fashion label Burberry, now lives in Los Angeles. He yesterday revealed he would finally marry his fiancee, actor Alice Evans, in September. "Finally, I know. That's what she said. I'm delighted." As one of Hollywood's hottest "It" girls, Alba has spent the past nine months on film sets. This tour counts as a break. "Thank God I'm over working for a little while," she said. Her co-stars have praised Alba for being the antithesis of the Hollywood party girl. "I'm just too old and tired," she said, laughing. "I'd rather sleep and watch a movie than go out with strangers and wear little clothing. That's not my deal. I'm really quite boring, probably. I like to cuddle with my dog and hang out with my girlfriends. A two-hour dinner is definitely an event for me more than going to the hottest nightclub." Chiklis, best known for TV show The Shield, said he would like to see Alba tie the knot with her boyfriend of several years, Yale graduate Cash Warren. But Alba said no such plans were in the pipeline. "Michael's funny. No, I'm not trying to get married right now." Though the cast are in Australia promoting Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, they have yet to see the film. Back in LA, the editors and computer boffins are battling against the clock to have the effects-heavy film finished in time for its June 21 release. Info from www.news.com.au
