I thought "direct holinking" meant if I went to jessicaalbafanatics and took a pic from their site and put it up directly onto this site? Instead of doing it the normal way of copying from their site to a photobucket account and putting that image up this site? I think Aerie's suggestion is ok . It's not "hotlinking" as far as my understanding goes. Don't worry, you are correct ;D, posting the images directly from the site is what they don't want since it uses up their bandwidth, but posting to the page the images are on doesn't do anything.

Synopsis
It all started when Charlie Kagan was ten years old. Breaking the cardinal rules of spin-the-bottle, Charlie refused to lip-lock with a demented Goth girl – and she put a hex on him. Now, twenty-five years later, Charlie (Dane Cook) is a successful dentist…and still cursed. While his plastic surgeon best friend, Stu (Dan Fogler), pursues as many of his patients as possible, Charlie can’t seem to find the right girl. Even worse, he discovers at an ex-girlfriend’s wedding that every woman he’s ever slept with has found true love – with the next guy after him. Before he knows it, Charlie’s reputation as a “good luck charm” has women – from sexy strangers to his overweight receptionist – lining up for a quickie. But a life filled with all sex and no love has Charlie lonelier than ever – that is, until he meets Cam (Jessica Alba). An accident-prone penguin specialist, Cam is as hard-to-get as she is beautiful. But when a genuine romance develops, Charlie realizes he’s got to find a way to break his good-luck curse…before the girl of his dreams winds up with the next guy she meets.
A hilarious comedy about the luckiest – and unluckiest – guy on earth, GOOD LUCK CHUCK stars Dane Cook, Jessica Alba and Dan Fogler, and is directed by Mark Helfrich, produced by Mike Karz, and written by Josh Stolberg.
US-Release: 24. August 2007

Blog report from showest convention in Las Vegas. Showest is an anual convention of movie theater managers/owners where the studios show off their upcoming films. www.comingsoon.net/blog/2007/03/lionsgate_kicks_showest.php#moreTom Ortenberg returned to talk about the Lionsgate's summer comedy Good Luck Chuck (August 24) starring Dane Cook and Jessica Alba, which he said would be their Wedding Crashers or 40-Year-Old Virgin. They showed a prerecorded video of Jessica Alba, taken from the New Mexico set of The Eye, where she presented the ShoWest Breakout Performance of the Year to Dane Cook. Wearing a sharp grey three-piece suit, it took a couple minutes for the audience to recognize Cook when he came out and he made a few jokes about the smoke machines making "Dick Walsh look like Ace Frehley," and joking that Alba looked high in the video, and then thanked ShoWest for the award, saying that he's glad to be fulfilling his dream, following in the footsteps of his idols Steve Martin, Adam Sandler and Steve Carell. After his acceptance speech, Cook introduced the trailer for Good Luck Chuck, which he said continues his attempt to make movies with "big laughs and a lot of heart." The trailer was received very well and got lots of laughter from the audience for a number of scenes. I don't remember too many specifics but it involves Dane Cook being this ridiculously lucky guy who sleeps with dozens of women until he meets Jessica Alba's character who is extremely unlucky. And before you say, "Didn't we just see this in Lindsay Lohan's flop Just My Luck?" this looks a lot raunchier and funnier than anything possibly since 40-Year-Old Virgin. (Dan Fogler steals the trailer with his line later in the trailer, though it looks like this movie will now come out before his debut film Balls of Fury.) Here is another report from the convention. movies.ign.com/articles/772/772854p1.htmlGood Luck Chuck Dane Cook was on hand to talk about and show the trailer for Good Luck Chuck. The film follows a guy who becomes a legend to the ladies due to a curse in which after they sleep with him, the next person they date will be their true love. It sounds confusing, but the trailer looks quite nice, with Jessica Alba pulling several Cameron Diaz hot girl pratfalls including walking into a pole, getting her skirt ripped off by a car, etc. Cook got many laughs for his comment that he knew the lunch was going to be kick ass because there was a smoke machine next to the stage … which we also found really odd in a staid convention center hall. Cook's speech was heartfelt as he talked about his journey in comedy, how he watched his heroes Steve Martin and Adam Sandler, how he met with his fans after every show, how he was mostly attracted these days to comedy films with heart. Alba appeared "via satellite" looking very sleepy from on location filming The Eye to congratulate Cook. Good Luck Chuck arrives August 24, 2007.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEg4GQK5k7wFound another link to the trailer. This one works and I really like the trailer . To me this looks basically like she is playing the Cameron Diaz role in Something about Mary and I think she is perfect for this type of role . Soooo happy .

I know that the tagline is paying homage to "There's Something About Mary", but, I would've hoped that the studio could've come up with a more original tagline, because, usually the new movie can never really live up to the movie that it's being compared to.

Agreed. It is going to invite direct comparisons to one of the funniest movies of the last 10 or 15 years . Still, I like the trailer and am looking forward to the movie .

It will be a nice change of pace for Jessica, but, I was hoping to not have to hear about this movie being thought of as a "There's Something About Mary" twin or knock off and so that's too bad about the tagline.

I'm glad that I wasn't the only one who thought that the producers of "Good Luck, Chuck" were openly paying homage to another thing in history/pop culture. Again, I would've hoped that the prouders could've come up with something more original in marketing the movie.
