I thought that this should be reposted. Thanks to dzero for the info. Comingsoon.net has the details of JA's new movie. Here's the link, comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=11041Alba & Christensen are Awake Source: Variety September 1, 2005 The Weinstein Co. and GreeneStreet Films have signed Jessica Alba (Fantastic Four, Sin City) and Hayden Christensen ("Star Wars" prequels) to star in psychological thriller Awake, reports Variety. The two companies are co-financing the film, which will be the directorial debut of Joby Harold, who also wrote the script. The story focuses on a man (Christensen) who suffers "anesthetic awareness" and finds himself awake and aware, but paralyzed, during surgery. His young wife (Alba) must wrestle with her own demons as a drama unfolds around them. "This film will do to surgery what 'Jaws' did to swimming in the ocean," promised producer Joana Vicente. The film is scheduled to begin shooting in October in New York.

It sounds like something completely different for Jessica - and that's a good thing.
I like every Sigourney Weaver movie and I'm sure I'll like this one. Although I can't tell Hayden Christensen from Heath Ledger or that other guy. Geez, I forgot his name.
I have a positive outlook about most movies, unless they are possibly Oscar material, (barf, hurl, and vomit) or star Jessica Simpleton or Lindsay Lo-yawn. Yes I admit to being a bitch so don't bother to remind me.

I've always thought that Hayden is a good actor and attractive, my favorite movie of his is "Shattered Glass." I would've liked to have seen a more established director for this movie.

That's exactly what I mean. I saw "Shattered Glass" and liked it a lot but I wouldn't know Hayden C. from Health L. or that other guy that I forgot his name. And this from a big "Star Wars" fan. (yes, dzero, better than "BB") They are all early Brad Pitt wannabees. Hot, cute as a bugs rear ear but nothing that zings my strings. I could list 30 established directors who have made crappy movies. Many directors have done well on their first movie and flopped after that. I won't list them because it would be too boring. Been there, done, that in a film class several years ago. When it comes to film making, stereotypes mean zilch. MaxCale and I have something in common. ;D ;D

A friend sent me this little blurb from www.moviehole.net/news/6192.htmlApparently cuter-than-a-button Jessica Alba has pulled herself out-of-the-running for the long-planned film version of "I Dream of Jeannie", and instead is biting into a role that is significantly more meatier. "Awake" is a new psychological thriller she'll co-star with Hayden Christensen in. Blah, blah, blah.

I'm assuming she was there when they put you out. She was probably down in the lab being fickle with Hayden.

I think this film could go either way. It depends on how it's done otherwise it's gonna be just another tacky thriller

Could you not say that about every upcoming thriller.
So far we have three for the negative club.
Am I alone in the club that has the motto "I think I'll watch the movie before I diss it."
I'm back after three hours. Geez Louise, can't I gripe if I want to. Okay, I'll admit that I have been known to complain about movies before I see them. But only if the cast are actors I don't like. Clint Eastwood, Hilary Swank, the Simpleton, the LoYawn, and any film starring Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman and Julianne Moore together. Or even pretty boy Orlando Bloom.

Loneliness is a choice, or so they say ;D And no, you're not alone. We want to believe, too I've had surgery twice and neither time was JA there waiting for me when I woke up. Tsk, dzero.... Third time is a charm. maybe if you could pick the type of surgery you're going through it would be more interesting.
