I bet that the producers of the "I Dream of Jeannie" or other films would either work around Jessica's schedule or not cast her because of the time committment and it will be interesting to see exactly when "Fantastic Four 2" starts filming because Julian and Michael have television shows to shoot as well as this project.

F-4 has grossed $328,102,842 world wide and is definitely not in the red.
DVD sales will be good. I might buy it just to see the 21 minutes they cut. There might be more than that added to the movie not to mention the extras.

zap2it.com reports that the sequel is set for release on July 4th 2007. www.zap2it.com/movies/news/story/0,1259,---27084,00.html Movie News 'Fantastic' Sequel Gets 2007 Release Date Mon, Oct 24, 2005, 10:10 AM PT LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com)- It'll be mutants battling robots for July 4th supremacy in 2007. Marvel and 20th Century Fox have taken out ads in the industry trade papers announcing that "Fantastic Four II" (or "Fantastic 2") will premiere on July 4, 2007. Even two years out, though, that date is already getting crowded. During the summer, DreamWorks Pictures, Paramount Pictures and Hasbro, Inc. laid their claim to the weekend for Michael Bay's "Transformers" feature. Stars Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, Michael Chiklis and Ioan Gruffudd are apparently under contract to reprise their roles from the summer hit that has taken in over $321 million worldwide. The film's domestic take has been over $150 million, a strong total for a film that was largely critically savages.

Ok...I'm confused...They say this, which sounds bad:
Then they say this which sounds like they are happy and that the movie made great profit:
So, which is it? Are they happy or are they sad and upset? Did the movie do good or did it do bad? Not sure which they mean....

Ok...I'm confused...They say this, which sounds bad: This is the part where they are explaining why there will be no stock dividends this quarter. This is the part where they are trying to get you to buy stock in the company. The movie, by itself did good. (But I can assure you they could book that money almost any quarter they liked.) All of Marvels holdings/earnings aggregated, not so much. But just because profits fell, doesn't mean there was not still profit. All in all it is a fairly solid company with a real product. Their assets greatly exceed their liabilities, although not as much as you would think. That $341,708,000 in Goodwill they have on the books? Well, technically it doesn't exist, in the usual sense of the word "exist".The actual text of their quarterly report is here . If anyone wants to look at the actual numbers, with out the spin.

When they say "Marvels profits and revenue" I believe they are referring to the whole company not just the F4 movie. I remember having read that comic book sales overall have been down the last few years even as comic book movies do well.

I haven't ordered the DVD yet but I willl. I really liked the movie when I saw it the first time. The second time I was with my 3 brothers and I enjoyed it more, probably because they were so enthusiastic, even though it was probably their 3rd or 4th time. Two of my brothers are in college and one in high school and they love comics just as much as when they were little kids. This was a great year for movies based on comic book characters. The films screenwriter and director are confirmed for the sequel. comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=12228Story and Frost Back for Fantastic Four 2 Source: The Hollywood Reporter December 5, 2005 The Hollywood Reporter says that Fantastic Four director Tim Story and screenwriter Mark Frost have signed up for the sequel, which 20th Century Fox has set for a July 4, 2007 release. The first installment, which grossed more than $154 million domestically, also had been slated for a July 4 weekend release but switched to July 8 to avoid a head-to-head clash with War of the Worlds. Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis are expected to reprise their roles, as they originally signed deals extending through a planned trilogy. However, Julian McMahon, who played villain Victor Von Doom in the first film, will not be back because he instead opted to star opposite Sandra Bullock in thriller Premonition, which begins production in January. The Fantastic Four DVD hits stores on Tuesday, December 6.
