Jessica Alba will be a guest on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" on June 5, 2006 and she will be a guest on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on June 7, 2006, check your local listings. This year's host is also nominated for Sexiest Performance. "Hopefully people will laugh at my jokes," the first-time awards show host tells ET. Behind the scenes with Jessica -- kicking the crap out of the paparazzi! Jessica Alba: Hottest Awards Show Host Ever? May 30, 2006 ET caught up with JESSICA ALBA behind the scenes as she was filming commercial spots for the upcoming "MTV Movie Awards," which the hot Hollywood star will host on June 8. "It's based around things you don't know about me," Jessica tells ET. "One of the things is I do Tae Bo -- it's supposed to be a gag that if you do Tae Bo you can do all these other amazing martial arts." She shows off her butt-kicking skills when confronted on the street by a crowd of press photographers furiously clicking away at their cameras. "I'm beating up paparazzi in this commercial," the sexy starlet says with a sly grin. "I get to take all my real anger out on them." Making a special guest appearance is her friend and fellow shutter bug target NICOLE RICHIE. "I know Nicole," Jessica says. "She went to school with my boyfriend -- it's a small world!" For her role, Nicole is "looking beautiful and feminine and just being fabulous," Jessica says. "And I'm being angry and crazy." Jessica says she suggested that MTV ask her famous friend to take part. "I was hoping she'd do it. I think she's going to make the spot really funny." The first time awards show host says she's a little nervous about how the production will go over. "I've never hosted an awards show before," she says. "It's great [but] it's pretty nerve-wracking. Hopefully people will laugh at my jokes." But she shouldn't have any trouble getting laughs -- this year MTV promises the usual mayhem during its annual show. Dishing a little dirt, the host-to-be revealed something new is in store for the pre-taped comic spots that are shown between the awards and performances. "Usually they spoof movies that were nominated," Jessica says. "This time we're spoofing 'The Da Vinci Code' -- JIMMY FALLON is going to help me with that." The silly side of Jessica, with Jimmy and Nicole? We can't wait! The "2006 MTV Movie Awards" airs Thursday, June 8th at 9 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. Stay tuned to ET for your backstage pass to the wildest movie awards show -- and hottest host -- of the year! There is also a video available for downloading included. According to www.variety.com Jessica Alba will star in "The Ten", a comedy spoofing the Ten Commandments. The filming will begin in July, mostly in New York. City Lights Pictures and MEGA Films have teamed to finance and produce "The Ten," a comedy spoofing the Ten Commandments, to be directed by David Wain ("Wet Hot America Summer"). Pic, written by Wain and Ken Marino, will star Paul Rudd, Amanda Peet, Jessica Alba, Ken Marino, Justin Theroux and Adam Brody. Jonathan Stern will produce with Morris Levy for MEGA along with Marino, Rudd and Wain. City Lights CEO Danny Fisher and Michael Almog will exec produce, Michael Califra will co-exec produce and Marcus Lansdell will associate produce. Filming will begin in July, primarily in New York. Wain's credits include small-screen comedy series "The State" and Comedy Central show "Stella." Marino is screenwriter, producer and cast member of "Diggers," which will be released later this year by HDNet/Magnolia. City Lights and MEGA just completed principal photography on the thriller "Descent," produced by and starring Rosario Dawson. City Lights also produced "Tamara" for Lionsgate and "Interrupted," directed by Philip Kaufman. May 31, 2006 -- 'THE PUBLIC'S appe tite for famous peo ple is a mouth as big as a mountain," said Robert Motherwell back in 1915. Nothing new under the sun, folks! OVER a Memorial Day weekend filled with Mideast carnage and death, I decided out of curiosity - and to escape real news - to click onto the Yahoo! "buzz log" category of most searched-for actors online. I expected proud new parents Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to top the list. Nope. Miss Jolie was No. 5 out of the top 20. Mr. Pitt was the only male in the Top 20, at No. 17. Jessica Alba was No. 1. Interesting. Could it be that for all the media screeching, people aren't that fascinated by Brad and Angelina? Perhaps they really didn't have to go hide themselves away in Namibia, with all of that little country's official protection, to safely have their child? Maybe, like Tom and Katie, they could have had their baby right here in the good old U.S.A., with normal-type security. After all, nobody barged in on Miss Holmes in delivery, and surely her birth-giving was as eagerly anticipated as Angelina's. Here's the link, www.nypost.com/gossip/liz/liz.htm

Jessica Alba plans a fantastic summer Posted 5/31/2006 9:38 PM ET No, Jessica Alba isn't going blonde — at least not permanently. The blonde wig is for an MTV Movie Awards skit. By William Keck, USA TODAY She lands on magazine covers and tops nearly every Hollywood hot list. And on Saturday, Fantastic Four's Jessica Alba will be hosting the MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles (airing June 8, 9 p.m. ET/PT). "I'm so excited," Alba says. "We're all going to be acting really crazy." USA TODAY asked Alba, 25, how she'll make the most of her summer. Q: You and your boyfriend (production assistant Cash Warren) started off summer by riding roller coasters at Magic Mountain. How did you guys fare? A: Cash threw up after the first ride. He was ruined for the rest of the night. Q: What's the summer movie you most want to see? A: X-Men: The Last Stand. We're going to have the X-Men babes Rebecca Romijn, Halle Berry and Famke Janssen on the (awards) show. All these comic-book movies bode well for the genre. We start Fantastic Four 2 in August. The four of us learn that there are other people out there with superpowers, and the Silver Surfer appears as a villain/hero. And another villain comes in as well. My character, Susan Storm, has another love triangle and may use a power people haven't seen before. She's the most powerful of the four. Q: Who might break out as the next big male movie star? A: Three guys are on my radar: Max Minghella (Art School Confidential, in limited release), Dane Cook (Employee of the Month, due this year) and Topher Grace (Spider-Man 3, opening in 2007). They've got the chops and the charisma. Q: What's going to be the hot sound of summer? A: I want to see Christina Aguilera's concert so bad. She's performing at the awards. Her new album is absolute fire. I went to her house and got a sneak peak. It's hot and modern and has dance tracks, but then she also has a throwback to Billie Holiday. Q: You always look awesome. How do you keep those Alba abs? A: I have a trainer I work out with four days a week to get my body stronger for Fantastic Four 2. And I try to not to eat too much dessert. I like whipped cream a lot. I'll put whipped cream on anything. Q: What cocktail helps you stay cool? A: I'm really feeling the mojitos. The mint and sugar cane is so refreshing. Q: What book might you be flipping through by the pool? A: I like things about improving your health, like ayurvedic stuff. It's an Eastern way of living and healing your body with oils and meditation and yoga. Q: What's your hair going to look like this summer? A: It's medium brown, and I have a few highlights and it gets lighter in the sun. Every day I spray in leave-in conditioner. Susan Storm has white-blond hair. I went blond for the first one, but I might try a wig for the sequel. I had to chop my hair off because it got so damaged. Q: Are you hitting the beach this summer? A: Maybe the Caribbean or Mexico again. My favorite beach is probably the Eco Lodge in Costa Rica. I've never been to European beaches, so it might be fun to go to Greece or Spain. Q: European beaches are known for being topless. Might you try that? A: I would if it were just me and my guy, but the paparazzi seem to pop up everywhere. Q: So bikinis or one-piece? A: Bikinis are more flattering on my body. I wore jean shorts to the beach when I was a teenager. I was an insecure teenager and a born-again Christian hanging out with a group of kids that made me feel bad about showing my body. But I learned I shouldn't be ashamed of what God gave me. Q: What about guys in Speedos? A: I like guys in board shorts. Q: Are you a fan of spray-on tans? A: I have done them before. You have to do ones with anti-oxidants that leave you brown instead of orange. I took my mom once, and it was so fun. She's French and Danish, but my dad's Mexican, so he's really dark all the time. Q: What's the hot color of summer? A: Maybe white. It attracts the sun the least. Q: Might you be wearing a white wedding gown this summer? A: No, no. We're not engaged. I'm still young!

Alba's funny side to shine on MTV awards show By JAKE COYLE Associated Press Posted: May 31, 2006 New York - Jessica Alba, ubiquitous in magazine "sexy" polls, hopes to show fans a different side of herself when she hosts the MTV Movie Awards this week. Jessica Alba When to Watch What: The Movie Awards When: 8 p.m. June 8 Where: MTV The 25-year-old actress intends to be funny at the awards show, which will take place Saturday night at Sony Picture Studios in Culver City, Calif., and air June 8.
Comedy is the show's theme, with "The 40 Year-Old Virgin" and "Wedding Crashers" leading the nominees with five each.
Alba will perform Billy Crystal-style parodies of the big films of the past year. Exactly which movies she won't say, but one can suspect a more appealing version of "Brokeback Mountain."
Aside from hosting, she is also nominated for three golden popcorn trophies - sexiest performance for "Sin City" and best hero and best on-screen team with Michael Chiklis, Chris Evans and Ioan Gruffudd for "Fantastic Four."
Alba, frequently confined to the two-dimensional world of comic-book movies, says she's looking forward to the freedom of the open stage.
Q. As you prepare, are you adapting to the role of awards-show host?
A. It's going to be different than the normal MTV Awards. I don't think it really feels like you're watching an awards show. Me being involved and being an actor, not really a comedian - but I'm doing comedic stuff - I think it just makes it feel a little different. I'm not a TV personality. I guess it's more sort of the way when Lindsay Lohan did it.
Q. Do you think this will give people a better perspective of your personality?
A. Yeah! I'm totally excited! Because usually I get hired for movies and I can't write them, and I have to say what's already there. This just allows me to have a little bit of input in what I'm doing and show a goofier side - and to play. I am an actress because I like to play. Usually I get to play in more serious roles, but this is fun to do something that's completely crazy and wild.
Q. How many outfit changes will you get in?
A. Probably four or five. I'm not ridiculous and I'm not a diva. And I really don't like fitting. Clothes are nice, but to be honest, jeans and T-shirts and boots or sneakers, I'm good to go. Dressing up is fun, but after four changes, I get exhausted.
Q. You played a dancer in "Honey," so will you be shaking a leg at the MTV Awards?
A. I don't think so. I offered that up. I said it would be funny if I was hidden as a back-up dancer, but doing it really bad - because I'm not a real dancer. But I think it would distract from the performer.
Q. Is there any magazine poll of "sexiest" or "best girlfriend material" that you haven't topped?
A. (Laughs) You know I don't really keep track of that kind of stuff. I'm usually like, "Oh, that's nice." I'm always the last to find those kinds of things out, but I'm really, truly grateful that people show up to the movies that I'm in and tune in to the stuff I'm on.

Alba picks popcorn over Oscars Friday June 2 8:31 PM ET Forget the Academy Awards. Up-and-coming actress Jessica Alba, who hosts the widely watched MTV Movie Awards this weekend, believes bringing down the house for the MTV generation is more important for star power than winning Oscars -- for now, anyway. The 25 year-old star of movies "Fantastic Four" and "Sin City" told Reuters that appearing at Hollywood's most irreverent awards show -- where gold buckets of popcorn are awarded in offbeat categories like "Best Kiss" and "Best Villain" -- signals to the industry that a performer can lure young crowds to box offices. For Hollywood, younger moviegoers make up the core audience who turn out weekly and buy loads of popcorn, and Alba said she appreciates their loyalty. "They show up to the movies and they take their friends, and that's who I make movies for," she said. "It's less about critics or about an Academy Award-winning performance," she added. "If you are at the MTV Movie Awards, it validates peoples' value in the entertainment business." Alba, who made her name as an action hero on the Fox television series "Dark Angel," said she is taking on comedy for the first time at the awards show, and is nervous about how her performance will be received -- not by fans, but by other celebrities. The show's list of high-profile attendees include comedian Will Ferrell, singer Jessica Simpson, and Academy Award-winning actor Jamie Foxx, among others. "I'm actually more nervous for my contemporaries to see me," Alba said. "I think my priorities are a little skewed." To make the show fun for fans, Alba said she hopes "all the celebs feel comfortable enough to have fun and go crazy." If that doesn't happen, however, Alba made light of what the consequences would be for her career. "If it's not, then I'll never do it again," she said, laughing. The MTV Movie Awards will be taped on Saturday and air on the cable TV network this coming Thursday, June 8. Here's the link, movies.yahoo.com/mv/news/va/20060602/114930548800.html
