Great new one shot -- well written and lots of fun! New Rules by Mr. Clark's favorite NCIS author, DrawMeASheep.

So I assume / hope we don’t have all that much background information on Ducky? How and when and if he came from the UK?
Also, did Abby have her spiderweb tattoo from the beginning or did she get it during one of the seasons?

Don't think we do, just random mentions of his various connections with other services etc, but not his start at NCIS... right, gang? I don't remember her without it but no idea for certain...

Gah, I keep missing threads here lately. Good thing to have all the activity, but sorry for the belated thanks for the info. So thanks, the tattoo fits then and guess I’m free to play around with Ducky’s life then. ;D

your welcome. I'm working on some new Dark Angel banner. just need to get some images off my DVDs. got alot of Ideas. See, that's something I haven't tried yet, snagging screen caps. It's probably safer if I don't; enough on my plate as it is and if I suddenly had all those images of MW to play with ... ;D

Amid lots of not-so-good NCIS fanfic ... For whatever reason, in the past 4 or 5 months I've become even more obsessed with NCIS than usual (maybe leading up to the end of the season and the nearly nonstop loop of NCIS available on USA? ;D) As a result, I've spent more time looking over the fic available on FFN -- and it's pretty stunning to see how much good fic there is now, as compared to a few years ago! Maybe as the show has caught on, it's drawn more fans who dabble in fanfic. But as compared NCIS's early years, when there was precious little worthy fic out there on FFN, there really is a lot of good reading! One way to start wading through the stories is to find one of the NCIS communities and see what others have recommended. I've found several good stories in "Everything DiNozzo" at www.fanfiction.net/community/Everything_DiNozzo/63038/3/0/1/ (as if you couldn't tell -- it's Tonycentric!) Worth checking out! ;D

I haven't read new FanFic in months. I'm at the point now where I only read what comes in on my story alerts and those have all but completely dried up as its now the summer dead zone. I guess most writers lose interest when they don't have that weekly dose of inspiration. I might have to scope out the new Tiva stuff as that was some of the only new stuff that interested me.
At one point a year or so ago I was collaborating with an author on a Tony-centric fic idea I'd had, but she kept saying she was going to send me a rough draft and never did.

I haven't read new FanFic in months. Like everything else in my life I go in spurts (food, music, what I'm listening to on the drive home, you name it) so it may be a short lived obsession -- still, I posted my note mainly because it seems so stunning (and welcome!) a change. I remember looking in vain for some decent NCIS fic not all that long ago, but it was even worse when I first started watching the show in its 2d season (and there was some truly dreadful fic back then! ;D) Now, there are a handful of writers who can manage some well-crafted case fic, which is very entertaining. It might even be worth going back & hunting around, if you find you're in the mood for something to read in between the updates of the stories you've set on alert!

With the impressively growing batch of satisfying NCIS fic there is to be read on FFN these days, it may be unfair to point this one out first/alone, as it's very AU and not really representative of what's to be had over there, but I am unreasonably excited about this one & seeing that happens with it: Dreamer by Caos Accidentale From the A/N the author seems to attribute the idea to another source, so I don't know how much is original or how much his own, but I love the idea and can't wait to see what happens! I'm guessing it will be a quasi-case fic done with lots of humor & fun... The AU part got me thinking enough to ramble about this in another post...
