The following messages were posted a few days ago on FF.net. November 22nd, 2010 -- We have completed an auto-save feature for both review and pm posting pages that will eliminate many headaches caused by accidental closing of windows while writing up lengthy reviews/pms. We ill save the review/pm you are typing and auto-resume when you return to the same review/pm page. Note the auto-save feature will only work with the latest browsers: Chrome, Firefox, IE, Opera, and Safari. Please help us test this feature and send feedbacks to support@fanfiction.com.
November 25th, 2010 -- To deter any type of automated submission of abuse reports, we have added image verification to the reporting process. Please note all abuse reports are handled individually by our staff and the more information you can provide in the report, the more efficiently we can process them. To reduce clutter in many of the larger forums, we will begin to clear out forum threads with last posting date of older than 6 months. Pinned threads are excluded from the periodic purge.

The following message was posted on FF.net yesterday.
November 26th, 2010 -- Please note at 1AM US Pacific (PST) time, we will perform several matainance actions which will result in the temporary downtime of forum posting for about 30 minutes.
We will also at this time introduce an auto-delete feature of removing PM message with send timestamp of older than 9 months. The 9 months freshness limit will be enforced for both PM messages and forum topics to ensure fast response time for these systems. For perspective, there are 17 million pm messages currently in the system and we need a self-cleaning system to move forward.
Lastly, both forums and pm/private messaging feature will come to the mobile site within a couple of days.
