Jessica Alba 'Freaked Out' by Possible Broadway Debut MONDAY NOVEMBER 26, 2007 By Tim Nudd Jessica Alba confirmed Monday that she's in talks to star on Broadway in a revival of David Mamet's Speed-the-Plow – the role that Madonna originated in the 1988 Broadway production. "Well, there's a rumor. Yeah, I've been asked to do it," Alba, 26, said on Live with Regis & Kelly Monday. She added later, "But this is just talk. It's not really happening yet. I'm freaked out!" Should she sign on for the role of Karen, the job would mark Alba's Broadway debut. "I would be honored to do it," she said, adding, perhaps a bit coyly, "I don't know if audiences would even want to see me on Broadway." Alba said taking the theater role next summer might actually be "perfect timing," if a possible strike by the Screen Actors Guild materializes, precluding SAG actors temporarily from doing film work. Alicia Silverstone played Karen in a 2006 revival of the play in Los Angeles. Alba also spoke on Monday about her experience shooting The Love Guru, an upcoming hockey movie with Mike Myers and Justin Timberlake. Asked if Timberlake is good on the ice, she replied, "I heard he's really good. I mean, I don't go and, like, watch him. You know, that would be weird. 'Hey, I just came by to watch you guys play.' Creepy!" The video of Jessica on "Live With Regis and Kelly" is also posted here. Here's the link, www.people.com/people/article/0,,20162290,00.html

Jessica Alba's hot road to success Jessica Alba has so far escaped the tabloid headlines that holler about troubled starlets. More likely, you'll find her feeding male fantasies in poses for Maxim magazine's hot list or the cover of GQ, which screamed "Sex on the Beach" beside Alba, clad in a tank top and bikini bottom. The star of Fantastic Four, Good Luck Chuck and the new thriller Awake, combines steamy sexiness with girl-next-door friendliness that men find irresistible. Or as GQ interviewer Sanjiv Bhattacharya describes Alba's certain something: "a pinnacle of unattainable hotness." Take that, Ross. Ross was Alba's grade-school crush who gave her grief back then, as we discovered when she accepted this year's Teen Choice Award for Female Hottie. Alba dedicated the award to "a young man who has been on my mind for the last 19 years: Ross. Ross didn't love me. I was pigeon-toed. I had a swayback. I was slightly cross-eyed, bucktoothed. I sucked my thumb." Then, with a laugh, she said, "Look at me now, Ross. Look at me now." Alba, 26, seems to take all the attention with a wink and a smile and, so far, no Lohan-sized baggage. She was all smiles at San Diego Comic-Con in July, when the mostly male audience came by the thousands to bask in her presence. No matter that she was at this genre-fest promoting a comedy, Good Luck Chuck, or that co-star Dane Cook was beside her during question-and-answer sessions. They only had eyes, and questions, for her. Example: Fawning fan: "What would surprise people about Jessica Alba?" Alba (spurred by Cook): "I'm a man." Hearty laughs all around — no one believed that whopper. Good Luck Chuck aims to make the most of this adoration of Alba. The premise is that Cook's Chuck gains a reputation for being the last guy a woman sleeps with before she finds the man she'll marry. Women throw themselves at him, then look to the next man they meet for commitment. This seems to Chuck and his friend like living the ultimate male fantasy — until he encounters Alba's clumsy but adorable Cam. She's the one woman he doesn't want to love and leave him, and therein lies the rub. Cook, the experienced comedian, was helpful to comedic novice Alba on set. "He's funny, he's genuine, and I'm not sure if many of you know this, but he has a very good heart," she said of her co-star. "And when I was a little nervous about doing the physical comedy, he encouraged me to be fearless and do everything 100 percent. Physical comedy is tough and if it doesn't work, everyone knows it right away." There was a time, though, when things got too physical. "Dane and I had a little kissing scene, and he actually chipped my front tooth, and so now I have a fake tooth because of this one right here," she said, giving Cook a nudge. Director Mark Helfrich said Alba wasn't always thrilled with his advice on how to play her character's slapstick clumsiness. "I remember we said to her, 'Don't anticipate.' And she said, 'I'm walking straight through a wall! What do you mean don't anticipate?'" "There might have been an f-word in there," Alba added with a giggle. Alba was in the end-of-summer R-rated comedy The Ten, and she has been tapped for another comedy, The Love Guru, opposite Mike Myers and Justin Timberlake. She's also got Sin City 2 on her to-do list, and her first horror movie, The Eye, is scheduled for a 2008 release. Info from www.sun-sentinel.com

Jessica Alba's spa shock Jessica Alba was left traumatised when she visited a spa and all the other clients were naked. The 'Fantastic Four' beauty was too disgusted to get in the Jacuzzi when she realised everyone else was in the nude. Jessica, 26, said: "I went to a spa and it was so traumatic because no one was wearing a suit in the Jacuzzi. It was gross! I'm not sitting with a bunch of people with their business hanging out!" The stunning actress insists she always keeps her curvaceous figure covered up because she doesn't like being leered at. She said: "I don't put it out there. I stay away from super-high heels, super-short skirts, revealing tops. I know what kind of attention you get from that and it's not the kind I want." Jessica is back with her film producer boyfriend Cash Warren after a brief split. The star admits her Hollywood career can make relationships difficult. She said: "I'm not the easiest person to hang with all the time. I'm away a lot and it's an unconventional life." Info from www.femalefirst.co.uk. MINTZ-PLASSE IS LOVING SUPERBAD FEMALE ATTENTION Actor CHRISTOPHER MINTZ-PLASSE is loving the benefits of playing geeky virgin McLOVIN in this year's (07) smash comedy SUPERBAD - girls he doesn't know want to have sex with him. Mintz-Plasse made his acting debut in the raunchy movie, and so far Hollywood life has met with the 18-year-old's approval. He tells American magazine Maxim, "I've gotten Facebook messages from women who straight up say, 'We should totally have sex.' I'm like, 'Um, OK.' I also got to meet Jessica Alba, who's been my crush since Dark Angel. She was like, 'Oh my God, McLovin!' She hugged me and that was the happiest moment of my life." Info from www.pr-inside.com. Carrie Underwood, hmmmmm, she is very pretty. I haven't heard her sing. She might be country and I don't listen to that.
And she's not as pretty as Jessica.
**
Here's an old article from November 2003 to get us back on track.
Jeepers, four long years ago.
WHILE YOU WERE ON DARK ANGEL AND SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR WAS ON BUFFY, DID YOU EVER FEEL ANY RIVALRY BETWEEN THE TWO OF YOU? No, not at all.
DID YOU EVER THINK THAT MIGHT BE A COOL FACE-OFF? Everyone has asked me that. I’ve only met Sarah on the red carpet , and physically I’m so much bigger than she is. She’s tiny.
DID YOU KNOW YOU’VE BEEN ON ALMOST EVERYONE’S TOP TEN HOTTEST FEMALES LIST? YOU WERE #1 IN MAXIM, AND YOU WERE THE 5TH SEXIEST FEMALE STAR IN A HOLLYWOOD.COM POLL.[/b] Really?
IT’S NO BIG SECRET PEOPLE THINK YOU’RE HOT. LET’S TURN THE TABLES. WHAT WOMEN DO YOU THINK ARE HOT? Who do I think is hot? Monica Bellucci is outrageously hot. I also like what is behind the sexiness; the attitude does it for me. Lauren Bacall in her heyday was the sexiest. She couldn’t have been sexier. To me, Brigitte Bardot is the epitome of sexy. She kills me; she really does. She’s really innocent but completely aware of her sexuality. She’s just ridiculous to me. And I can’t forget Beyonce.
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT PEOPLE PASTING YOUR HEAD ONTO SOMEONE ELSE’S NAKED BODY? THERE ARE A MILLION WEBSITES OUT THERE THAT DO JUST THAT. I think it’s funny. As long as the body is fabulous, like Carmen Electra’s, I don’t really care.
WHAT IS THE BIGGEST MISCONCEPTION ABOUT YOU? That I’m dumb. Everybody thinks I’m dumb becomes I’m young.
HOW DOES IT AFFECT YOU WHEN YOU READ DETAILS ABOUT YOUR OWN LIFE IN TABLOIDS AND MAGAZINES AND THEY SAY THINGS LIKE THAT? Well, what’s funny is that everyone just wants to concentrate on like my body or my face or my lips or whatever, and they think that’s why people are going to watch something I’m in. I mean, if that were the case, I could just do pornos. You know what I mean? It’s a little deeper than that. I’ve been doing this for ten years, and it hasn’t been easy. I work really hard, and I’m very professional. I want to produce. I want to direct - I’m not a idiot. I have my own thing, my own life. I have never gone to parties to get a job. I’ve never used my sexuality to get a job in that way.
I’M SURE YOU CAN BRUSH IT OFF TO A CERTAIN EXTENT. BUT WHEN YOU READ IT CONSTANTLY, DOES IT EVER GET YOU DOWN? I don’t really care. It’s just when people personally come at me and dismiss me. You know, a lot of women do that. And another thing people use against me is that I look so young. I look like I’m fourteen, so that’s even worse. Because I’m young and an actress, a lot of people assume that I’m an idiot, I guess.
WHAT ACTORS AND DIRECTORS ARE YOU REALLY DYING TO WORK WITH? There’s too many. I don’t have any super specific ones. There’s this girl, Ludivine Sagnier, and I think she’s brilliant. She was in 8 Women, which is a French movie, and she is just so good. I would love to work with her. And I’d have to say Jude Law and Michael Caine.
AND DIRECTORS? I love Robert Rodriguez and - I don’t know, there’s so many - Steve Soderberg. I could go on and on.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO STAR IN A ROMANTIC COMEDY? I would love to. There’s this Universal movie I’m attached to, and it’s a really fun romantic comedy that I hope to be cast for. I could really have fun. I certainly don’t take myself too seriously.
DO YOU HAVE ANY RELATIONSHIP ADVICE FOR OUR READERS? Relationships are really hard. I don’t know. I’m jaded right now. I’m happy, but it’s just hard. That’s all I gotta say. It’s not easy. It’s really hard to find a good man.
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST TURN ON? Confidence.
AND YOUR BIGGEST TURN OFF? Insecurity.
WHEN IT COMES TO CLOTHES, WHAT DESIGNER DO YOU FEEL THE SEXIEST IN? I love Dolce & Gabbana. There are so many - I like Calvin Klein for being really simple and sleek. I like Marc Jacobs to wear everyday, and I absolutely love Gucci shoes.
WHAT’S ONE OF YOUR WILDEST FANTASIES? SOMETHING YOU’VE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO BUT HAVE NEVER DONE? What’s great about what I do for a living is that this is my wildest fantasy. When I was a kid, this was a dream.
TELL ME ONE DEEP, DARK SECRET YOU WANT TO REVEAL FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ZINK. [Laughing] I don’t have any deep, dark secrets. My life is an open book.
The End

If I had to make a choice - be naked in a movie or become pregnant - I'd choose naked although both would upset my father.

Oh man, I heard this 3 hours ago now and all that went through my head is poor Dzero (And I've been twitching for a chance to come say that since then). If I had to make a choice - be naked in a movie or become pregnant - I'd choose naked although both would upset my father.Yea I'd walk down a city street buck naked in the middle of winter rather than be pregnant. I think that's how you can tell it's one of those 'life events' that I'm not ready for (and probably never will be ).

If I had to make a choice - be naked in a movie or become pregnant - I'd choose naked although both would upset my father.Am I the only one who is happy for Jessica? Ok, so "happy" might be an overstatement . Jessica has mentioned for years now he desire to have kids. You don't get engaged at 20 if you don't have a strong desire to have kids. My only concern is the timing of this in relation to that reported/rumored breakup they had last summer. Them getting back together and then having a baby so soon makes me think of those couples who are having some problems and think having a kid will solve those problems . Not the ideal way to start a family to put it mildly. Of course that's a huge assumption I am making and I'm probably wrong because I'm usually wrong about everything . So anyways, if she is happy then I'm happy for her .

Hey, what did I do? More of what you didn't get to do. hmmmmmm...does this mean you think I don't have a shot with her? ;D ;D So you are saying there are no single moms out there? Every woman who has a baby automatically ends up staying with the father forever? Very good reasoning . P.S. You live in NYC, right? That's perfect because there is this bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you.
